If anyone with beta access has spare time, please consider heading there and logging a suggestion on them to set them as tameable. They occur amongst the first group trash pull, so they're fast and easy to get to without killing anything (just watch the patrolling arcane robot guy). You could be in and out in 2 mins

Blue dragonhawks - not tameable :P
I finally got in to check Sunwell Plateau last night and the blue Sunblade Dragonhawks in there are still not tameable. They're the only ones in the game of that colour and and one of the best, if not THE best, looking.

Wow, you read my mind. I ran in there last night finally to discover the same thing (and play dodge-the-robot). I put in a ticket, in addition to one earlier that I had put in about other untameable mobs.

I do hope Blizzard comes around with them. I'd love a Blue Dragonhawk and was quite disappointed to find they weren't tameable in Wrath.

Me too, only I don't have the matching mount, but the matching mini-pet. But I have the name picked out and everything.
I tried other colors, but they don't look right with my nightelf

Re: Blue dragonhawks - not tameable :P
I should also add... I checked on the Amani Bears in ZA at the same time. Still not tameable either

@ Wain
Would there be a way for you to check on the Dragonhawks in ZA as well? I heard somewhere that there are unique dragonhawks that can only be found in that instance (yellow ones with pink accents: http://www.wow-petopia.com/look/dragonhawkskin02.html). I've never been in the instance myself but I'd love to know either way. Along with the blue ones from SP, I feel these would also be highly coveted among hunters.

Re: Blue dragonhawks - not tameable :P
The only dragonhawks I saw in ZA were the orange ones, and they're still untameable.
Unfortunately that pink/yellow one shows up on Wowhead for 2 NPCs only: one is Jan'Alai, who is one of the bosses in ZA and hence really a troll that has taken a god's powers. He seems to have a couple of Wowhead entries. His main Wowhead page just shows him in his regular humanoid form. I don't remember the fight, but maybe at some point he can turn into a dragonhawk form? Or maybe that was a form of his that was never used, as the page is short on details. He's probably not ever going to be tameable, either way
The second entry is for an Amani Dragonhawk Spirit that is listed as friendly to both Horde and Alliance. I don't remember seeing it, but I guess it couldn't be tamed either, if it's friendly

Re: Blue dragonhawks - not tameable :P
They sure are! I did leave a suggestion on IQD that when you shoot down the Sunblade guys that their mounts spawn as live beasts rather than corpses. Then at least they'd be tameable. I believe that's the only occurrence of that skin in the game... as a corpseWorba wrote:The black ones are cool too, imo
The second black/grey skin only appears on an NPC's pet and hasn't shown up anywhere else either. I also left a suggestion that they could add some sombre grey/black ones to the Ghostlands. Since that area is continuous with Eversong, it makes sense for it to have dragonhawks, and the grey/black ones would fit the colour palette there and the theme of sickly beasts.

It's the dragonhawk spirit that appears during the Zul'jin fight. It's basically Jan'alai's spirit giving his power to Zul'jin.

Thanks Kalliope
Either way, it doesn't sound like the kind of thing that can (or probably should) be made tameable. But hopefully they'll add some or at least one somewhere

Re: Blue dragonhawks - not tameable :P
Why do all the best looking dragonhawks have to be untameable? D:
