An odd naming thingy

I tamed a daggercap hawk and named it Anzu

. When I mouse over it the tooltip says it is the "Raven Lord". I am wondering if this happens to just me or if this is an addon causing if or if anyone can see it. I am called Praf on EU Bloodhoff and aI am an Orc.

Wow, that's certainly interesting. I've never noticed such a thing happen before, but perhaps someone can test this by taming a pet Anzu?

Can you list what sort of Addons you're using in case it might be one of them?

I don't understand why redbubble has to "prove validity" when he's just asking a question...

I'll be happy to try it out later. Perhaps on Nessingwary, so someone else in Petopians can check if the tooltip is altered for them too?

i named a tallstrider anzu and it didnt work....did you use any odd letters?

It's probably the mob more than the name that's causing the problem here...

Did it happen just the once, or does it keep coming up that way even after logging out? If it just did it the once, it was a glitch, but if it keeps coming back.... I want to test now!

I looked you up on the EU armory, and it is just a plain Daggercap (I thought maybe, just maybe, you tamed some special one, but the source code just says Daggercap Hawk).

I found out why It happened. After much fiddling about. It was Gup Pet a vanity pet addon. One of the features is a thing to help you find one. It tells you if a mob has a chance to drop a vanity pet and what it is. The addon mistakes my pet for the real thing.

I tamed Deathclaw the bear once from Azuremist Isle (was the only ragged looking bear I could get for my level).

One day his name kept swapping back to Deathclaw! My friends could see it too in game from their characters, and if I dismissed then resummoned it fixed itself.

Happened about 4 or 5 times during the day, was pretty random!

The weirdest bug I ever got like that was with an NPC in Duskwood, whose name was the same as a player using FlagRSP or MyRolePlay, which bugged out and stuck the player's titles on the NPC!
