I got the red and purple colored owl.

I've always loved the skin, but it just seemed too loud before. Now I love it! I also picked up a teal scorpid(named Saekiar after a character in my stories! No stealing!) that I'm really liking.


The rest of my tames were:

I also tamed a trio of corehounds to assist int my taming of king krush, named Thesso, Gami, and Sam. I unfortunately cannot say the long versions of those names for fear of stories being encroached upon, as two of them are my friends chars and we both plan to publish. So I shortened them for my corehounds.

On another note, it was ridiculously easy to waltz into molten core and tame every corehound in sight. I left there with an intense feeling of satisfaction after all the times I've died in there before trying to steal their corehounds(at 70 on Casdia and 62 on Antonietta).

Also note that these are all on Casdia, Antonietta uses either Byron the spirit bear, Voidrage the oil wolf, or Emberkin the MC corehound at all times. She doesn't need any more pets till Cata, when I might possibly get her a mastiff.

Wow, these screenshots are FANTASTIC, folks! I'm really inspired by them. I just finished my pet taming, I think - not as extensive as many, but I just got Skoll (yayyyyy!) and I will try to take screenshots of my different pets in appropriate zones.

I thought this would be the place to come to share of my recent success. I just recently came back to the game after a real life necessitated break. How excited I was to learn how we could have so many more pets. Well, needless to say, I thought the quest for the spirit beast family would be an excellent place to start my newly enlarged collection. I was cruising around Zul'Drak searching for Gondria and to kill time was doing random heroics every few laps. So after a lovely Halls of Stone run that included multiple boss wipes (ugh!) I popped out and within 10 seconds Gondria spawned right next to me! I couldn't believe it, my last rare tame (forget the name, but the purple Chim in Netherstorm) took about 27 hours straight of camping (hurray Rockstar energy drink!) and this took about 40 minutes.

After the pure shock and excitement settled a little, I decided Arcturis would be next, so headed down to his spawn point. To aid in my searching I have NPCScan and Map Overlay. So I decided to pull up Wowhead to see what the average respawn timer was thought to be. Before I finished typing his name into the Wowhead search my raid warning sound started going off, which I just assumed to be it glitching or something. I tab back into WoW and right in front of me is Arcturis!!! I couldn't believe it, not 3 minutes after I got Gondria I got Arcturis as well! It was the most exhilarating 5 minutes of my hunter's life. Off to Storm Peaks in the morning to continue my quest.
