Named this cutie Báléygr (one of the Odin's name mean "the One With Flaming Eye")
Plus its a nice to have pet with 21 training points instead of reg 20 for all BM pets at lvl80.
Extra point in shark looks like a nice buff for me.

Will /cry if Blizz will remove his tag from the game :O(

When tamed, he still shows up as a boss lvl mob. This will no longer be the case sadly.

Much easy way to save him is just exchange the code for Cata The Beast as for new character and leave the old one as it is...
In this case we will have our lovely tag and Cata version of beast will be as regular one. We deserve it at any point!

This. Unfortunately, at least so far it looks like Blizzard just wants to keep things simple and not worry about recognition of prior achievements.

Just watch though - pre-cata TB (one of the hardest tames of the game) will lose his tag as planned... and the newly tamable AQ bosses who (reportedly at least) are fairly easy to tame (for a lvl 85 with the new 10 sec tame anyways), will keep them (since unlike TB their NPC IDs are not going to be changing).

Way to reward the easy and hush up the difficult, eh?

GETTING to them solo sounded like a massive pain in the ass. Wouldn't call that part easy.

Was this massive pain in the ass just from having to get someone to group with, and then the time it took to get to the bosses? I don't recall hearing that any of the bosses he tamed in AQ were particularly hard for Wain to get to or tame at lvl 85 (he tamed Yauj, Vem and Kri while they were all attacking him...)

Getting to The Beast took 30-45 minutes, but any lvl 75+ who knew his class could do that - it was the work it took to actually tame him that made him legendary.
