GETTING to them solo sounded like a massive pain in the ass. Wouldn't call that part easy. :)
Was this massive pain in the ass just from having to get someone to group with, and then the time it took to get to the bosses? I don't recall hearing that any of the bosses he tamed in AQ were particularly hard for Wain to get to or tame at lvl 85 (he tamed Yauj, Vem and Kri while they were all attacking him...)

Getting to The Beast took 30-45 minutes, but any lvl 75+ who knew his class could do that - it was the work it took to actually tame him that made him legendary. ;)
The trash leading to Beastie was annoying, but killable. Getting past that horrific first boss in AQ is even more of a challenge than the tames. There are trash packs (and a boss!) that can't be solo-killed. (Given, the boss can be tamed to be circumvented, but the trash cannot.)

Sure, taming the bosses is easier than taming the Beast in a straight up comparison. That does not, however, make the entire process "easy."

Is the AQ trash really that hard for a lvl 85 to kill or circumvent with FD? I've heard of plenty lvl 80s doing AQ now in 245+ gear (and I believe cata lvl 81 quest greens are ilvl 272?), also didn't see anything in Wain's post regarding anything "impossible" about the mobs he actually tamed, or getting to them.

Maybe not if they know what they're doing, but I still wouldn't call the process a walk in the park for just any hunter. :D And you're still ignoring the first boss, who is a complete pain in the ass. :P
