Question about Heroic Deadmines...

Unread post by Slapperfish »

Assuming it's is available for testing, has anyone checked the levels of the tameables in the new Heroic Deadmines? I'd really love to get my hands on an instant level 85 Albino Eyegouger. Oh, and a Mining Monkey! :3

Hopefully someone can check. I doubt I'll be doing the heroic one :)

But since you're not starting at 85, you could so easily get a non-heroic one at the start of Cata and level it up as you level :) Since the Albino Eyegouger is a rare one, you could waste many days running that instance before you find one, while the non-heroic one could net you one in no time.

I ran regular Deadmines almost a dozen times trying to find the Albino Eyegouger, but he wasn't up for any of the runs. >< Then again I have terrible RNG luck.

Wait, you can do regular level 85 Deadmines, rather than just low-level and heroic? :O

No, but you can run the regular lowbie Deadmines and the pet you find will autolevel to just a couple of levels below you. Then you can level it up. These new pets occur in both the low/regular and the heroic versions. At 80 you can tear through lowbie Deadmines in no time at all, run out and reset. You could run it a dozen times in a couple of hours, easily, and then level the pet up with you as you advance through Cataclysm. However if you waited till you were 85 and only tamed the pet via the heroic version, it might take you a week or 2 just to find the pet.

Worth noting: You can only enter 5 instances per hour. Careful of hitting your limit (I used to do it farming Strat Baron) - you'll be unable to do more runs, unable to do heroics, unable to do seasonal queued-for events etc. until the timer expires!
