I found the blue again this morning. Important note, this guy wanders rather a lot. You'll find him all over that desert patch north of the city. He may even be wandering the whole zone, but so far, I've found him three times in that north central area.

Does anyone know what the respawn timer is on this scorpion? I have been camping him for a few days now and have never seen him, not even once. Any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated.

I use to log in to the beta every 2-3 hours and I NEVER saw anyone camping the scorpion. I log in to see if the scorpion is there at the map location Wain pointed out... then I fly around a little bit checking out a pretty good radius to see if he had wandered where I couldn't see him... then I log out again at the same spot I logged in at...

I never see anyone in the area.

No clue what the spawn timer is...

I hardly ever frequent the Beta anymore since most of what there is left to see is the math pertaining to hunter shots, and warcrafthuntersunion.com and BRK do that sort of stuff for us so I'd find it best left to them or femaledwarf.

Anywho, one could kill the scorpid and simply wait... and wait...

So does he pretty much skirt the perimeter of that sub zone?

that's what I think. He seems to skirt the sub zone. So far, I've found him in the opposite side of the sub zone from where you found him. So far, I've found him there three times, and once in the middle heading west.

Well, I was able to track him down and discovered that he does not seem to patrol, but spawns in different places. So far, he seems to show up dead center in the zone, in the upper west and upper east.

Important note, he does not drop any actual loot. He drops a grey item worth 25g called the Crystalline Tear Of Loyalty that states "The desire to serve as a loyal companion coalesced into a single, priceless crystal. I think that indicates that he is intended to be a Hunter Pet more than a kill mob.

I got a little too close to him and had to kill him. This time he was in green. So far, I've found him in blue twice and in green twice. In twelve hours, I'll check back to see if he shows up again.

Wow.. so.. this is going to be fun! Camping a color not a rare

Ok.. Now who wanted the green one? Wow.. this is kinda going to suck slightly if you ant one specific color but I have to say... its.. pretty awesome! I like the whole idea that hes not a color changer but spawns in random colors!

i have an feeling he'll be a rare in an rare..that they'll make onez coor like 5% (lets take for example blac) and blue 40% etc..that might be fun.

Maybe since he has so many colors, he'll be on a shorter timer like 3-4 hours, but the rarity will be his color like bluddy said. I'd hate to be out there for 12 hours just to see a color that I don't want to spawn. I currently have my eye on the Black if it turns out that Red never happens.

I've been checking quite often throughout the day and unless he spawns somewhere else or is getting killed while I'm not around, I'm not sure about his timer.

Yes!! So happy the Black colouration made it. If Red turns up I might have a hard time choosing between the two, but it'll definitely be one of those!

You're right bluddy, it will be camping a rare within a rare. I'm sure it'll be aggravating as all hell trying to get the colour you want, but at the same time I'm sort of looking forward to the challenge.
