I got all three in Sholazar

I finally found and tamed Aotona. It's pretty amazing that I had never even seen any of the rares in Sholazar since LK went live and now in the time since Patch 4.0.1, I have tamed all three of them. The first one was King Krush. I was searching for Loque and my macro picked up Krush walking North out of the Frenzyheart village South of Nesingwary's. The coordinates were 30,68. Loque was the second one to be acquired and I found him at the furthest SE Gorilla location, coordinates 71,71. Aotona I just got yesterday while looking for an air elemental rift for the new achievement. I was flying over Sholazar and decided to check the spawn points on the way. I found him flying slowly back and forth and tamed him at coordinates 41,72.

Nice. I'm on a similar situation right now. I'm trying to get all the rares I want before Cataclysm comes out. I just need Gondria and Loque'nahak. I was able to grab King Krush and Nuramoc last week, and Arcturis last night.

Congrats. I spent weeks upon weeks hunting for that parrot. I <3 my parrot. King Krush might be cool but after 6+ weeks in the basin, I kinda twitch hearing the background music now. Though, my first time taming Loque on my Horde hunter was a total accident. I dismounted too early to grab an herb, bounced off the cliff and landed on Loque.

Oh you lucky sod. Hunting any rare pet in northrend right now is a nightmare with those rifts spawning, so you got really very lucky. Congrats!

Congrats on nabbing all three of the Basin rares! I'm still lacking Aotona myself (I've never even seen her in the wild), but the toon I want her tamed by isn't high enough to go after her yet.

And yes those rifts are evil.. freaky things, and they spawn close to Aotonas spot to. I hope.. they dont kill rares..
On a good point, while looking for said rifts I happened to stumble across King krush.. yes no really.. I was there. for the rifts.. not circling the basin at all. Nope nope.
