Petopia Update - November 8, 2010 - Build 13241

I've just pushed a massive update to Petopia. Theoretically I added all the exciting new Cataclysm looks that I was missing and fixed a lot of things-that-have-become-tamable-lately problems.

But that's all theoretical.

I'd appreciate it if anyone who has the chance look over the New Looks page in particular and let me know if you see anything I need to fix.

A couple things to note:

• I've started making composite pictures for color-changers so it's more clear that you don't get just one look with them. I haven't gotten all the color-changers changed over yet, though.
• I added little flag icons for Goblin-only and Worgen-only tames. They are supposed to be the flags for the two nations, but they're a little small.
• You'll notice some duplicated data on some pages. For example, the White Bat page helpfully tells you that Shadikith the Glider is still not tameable in Cataclysm. This is because I will eventually be flipping the databases, so I need the Cataclysm database to be as complete as possible.

I already know there are some errors but I need to get to bed - the sun is coming up. Any help you can give me finding the rest of them, or information that I missed, would be much appreciated!

That's a lot of work, Mania. <3 I'd go pass out if I were you...

But when you wake up, the most noticeable skin "missing" from the new looks page is Karoma. You have the ghost wolf skin up there, but only under the wolf section (which would not really be a "new skin" per se), but you don't have Karoma listed with the Spirit Beasts. Not that I blame you, Karoma is a very recent find after all.

It looks amazing Mania! The colour changer pet pictures are a little crowded, but it's a lot nicer being able to see all the colours they can be right there instead of looking for a mob name to double check so it's worth it. The only other thing I can see is what Malazee pointed out, the ghost wolf spirit beast isn't up there. That might be because he's very recent.

Really nice work, Mania. I have been so overwhelmed with all the new pets and colours that I decided to stop planning my Cata stables for now and wait for you to do this! Thank you for making it so much easier.

Oh, and I love how you show all of the colours for pets like the Pyreshell Scuttler. Are you planning to do that with all colour changers? If so, the Chasm Stalkers and Temple Scarabs don't have it yet. (I'm sure you're aware of that though.)

I don't see the Baradin Fox, which is a color changer (brown fox skin and red fox skin) located in Tol Barad Penisula.

I got Karoma straightened out and added the Baradin Fox (although the levels on the fox may be wrong). I also fixed some typos and wrong looks. I'll be working more on the color changers later today.

But don't stop! I'm sure there's more.

I really like the formatting for the color changers! And this really throws into perspective just how few non-pick-wielding monkeys are out there.

On the purple spiders, the Winterspring spiders should be listed above the Naxx ones due to their level being lower.

I don't know if it's really worth mentioning, but you can get the "felboarskinblack" pet in hellfire from the cenarion expedition quest that has you use a "cure" on the hellboars close by, it turns them into a named mob (Dreadtusk: http://www.wowhead.com/npc=16992/dreadtusk) with the same skin (who is tameable and retains the color after taming). Not a big deal, but it is a way for hunters to get this skin at level 62.

What Mania usually does is link offsite to places like WoWhead who have a map with locations on it. However, a lot of Cataclysm info still isn't updated or unknown so instead you can try Jangalian's thread that she's been working on to give visual representations of pet points. ^^

Also, in the long run, Zeilla and I will have our series done and it will include maps for all the pet locations.

On the foxes Ashtail is a rare and it dosnt have it listed

I added Dreadtusk and marked Ashtail as a rare. I am sure that I am missing the rare flag on some other beasts, though, so if you see one please let me know.

I'll try to add back in the list of what changed - there was just so much last time as I caught up that I was overwhelmed.

I also made some back end database changes on how looks are handled today, so please let me know if you see anything wonky.
