I'm sorry, I'm still disappointed with the whole lazy factor of this.
I'm all for making this skin available, make it a common skins, a rare spawn, whatever, that's fine.. But making it a Spirit Beast?.... Really?

What if for the next 2 Spirit Beasts Blizzard did this,

Um, what? Those are just normal skins anyone can get. This a skin hardly ANYONE has. Don't compare the new Spirit Beast wolf to the Ghost Saber and Ghost Worm, since it's rather stupid to do so. It makes sense that this wolf is a Spirit Beast, as it IS a freakin' SPIRIT WOLF. Ghost Saber is not because it was in the game WAAAAAAAY before Spirit Beasts even existed. Ghost Worm isn't a Spirit Beast because it is just the disembodied version of a normal worm.

Again, I find it rather stupid to compare the Spirit Wolf to these two other ghostly pets.

I think what Spiritbinder was trying to relay is that it's a bit disappointing that the Spirit Wolf was just rebadged to be a spirit beast not a comparison. Basically that Blizz took the lazy way out instead of creating a new SB model they just ripped it off an old one.
No need to call it stupid or anything the like. It just comes across as rude even though it probably wasn't meant that way. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Not a fan of the word choice, but I agree with Senna in sentiment. The original ghost wolves are no longer tameable. At all. Period. It's not the same thing by any stretch of the imagination that the art was reused.

I do get what you're saying, Spirit, that to reuse old art is a bad idea, but the ghost wolf is an exception. I would never expect the ghost saber or ghost Jormunger to be made into spirit beasts, simply because they are still in the game and readily available.

Just, well, I barely missed getting the Spirit Wolf back when it was first tameable, so I'm really really happy there's a new Spirit Beast with the skin, and I have a tendancy to get all up in arms when someone says something that I don't agree with on a subject that's important to me. ^^;

What Kalliope said. I don't remember bliz saying the spirit wolf model was an intentional addition when people found out how to tame one, hence why they removed it (even if it ended up being a bit messy after declaring they wouldn't do it. Also, don't forget about our other ghostly friends, the crokolisk, hydra and wee slime).

I'd still like to see bliz add hydras to the list of tamables. :3

And actually, the Lupine Horror from SFK and possibly the Plains Vision were the 1st to use this model. The grim totems were added "WAAAAAAAY" later in the game, before they were removed

I suspect the entire reason we are seeing two new spirit beasts instead of one was because they did create a new spirit beast with a new skin, but also wanted to make the ghost wolf available again and the most fitting family for it was also spirit beast. I see nothing but hunter love here on the part of Blizzard.

I was simply Trying to post my concern of Blizzard reusing old skins, not that I don't like the skin or it should not be available, just the fact it was a bit sad. I tried to put a funny spin on it, Making the other ghost/spirit beasts, but clearly it didn't work.
