Personally I'm torn, don't know if I'll go camp and cry on my server there. While I've been secretly very jealous of those who have the ghost wolf looking wolves, I've never taken out pixel jealousy and hatred to the other hunters.

I just don't see the point of pouting about which family skill the puppy has (or it's ancestors). Agi/Str buff or Crit buff. All the same for me (and my raid groups usually).
If they change it so be it.

The problem isn't the crit buff or the agility+strength buff, it's the fact that the new one is a SB, it requires BM, unlike the original.

And Kowasaki... Those of us with the original wolf aren't "special", as has been said, anyone could get it with some gold. Just buy some haste gear, a gem, and a shammy and a priest. We're not special, we were just fast. I'm happy this skin is available now, I'm just sad it's BM-only, and I still do fear they will turn the old wolves into exotics too "bcuz u cant tell them apart lol".

I don't think they will, Saturo. They've taken enough flack over this wolf that they understand that doing so would be A Very Very Bad Thing.

Speaking from a community that is created and based solely off the love of pets, I think it's safe to say we'd rather see Blizzard add MORE tameable skin possibilities into the game than less.

Well just don't quit playing a game you love if the do change it....

Think of it this way... You'll know how you got it and you didn't even have to spawn camp it!

You could tell your grandchildren wonderful stories about how you had an original spirit wolf and how everyone else who didn't have one had to wait 2-3 years, PLUS get to L.85 before they could get one.... and then they had to fight over camping areas.
Of course... that story would only be like.... 5 minutes long, if that... so hopefully you will have more lengthy stories to bore them to sleep with.

I don't think we missed your point at all, it's just that we don't have that sort of outlook here. We'd rather see more tameable skins available for hunters who may have missed old specialties. Like I said, I think Blizzard pulled this off beautifully by making this look available again without taking away from the identity of the originals. You vented your opinion here, but I'm afraid most of us just don't see it your way. There's a lot of people here who have the original ghost wolf and are happy for those who can finally obtain their dream pet. That's the sort of attitude we have in this community.

I'm calling troll. Yea, I was lucky enough to grab a ghost wolf when it was available but that's what it comes down to; luck. It's not me being better then people, it's the luck of having the disposable gold and being able to scrape together the people, as well as just plain lucky timing. For ostensibly caring so much about hunters, you seem awfully greedy.

Suprise! The game isn't about you! It's about us, and, probably more important, Blizz making money. They can do whatever they want to make the greatest number happy and the vocal minority can scream shenanigans all they want, threaten game quitting, etc., but as long as the many are happy, they could give a fizzle, and, really, they're completely in the right to do that IMO.

Lighten up, un-stick your arse, and be happy for those that weren't lucky enough to get the GTSG the first time around.

If you want to continue your goofy 'how dare you make me less of a special snowflake' rant, take it to the wow forums where it belongs.

Personally, I am thrilled to pieces over this. I can honestly say I have wanted this pet since I started playing back in 2005, when I first visited Shadowfang Keep and saw them. I remember having a bit of a *SQUEEEE I MUST TAME THAT THING* moment, as I did when I saw The Beast for the first time (who is now happily residing in my stable). I had unfortunately quit the game at the time the Grimtotem Spirit Guides were available, and was deeply, bitterly disappointed when I rejoined to discover they were no longer available.
I have the current four Spirit Beasts, and while I feel for the people who want this skin but don't like the play feel of Beast Mastery, this is true for all the exotic beasts currently in the game. I personally am absolutely blown to pieces that I finally get to tame this beasty, it is really a dream come true for me. I am so very excited, and can hardly wait to get on and get this thing, regardless of the fact that they're releasing Cata right in the middle of my finals week! thanks a lot, Blizz. EEEEEEE SO EXCITED! I FINALLY GET MY GHOST PUPPY! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! This is my dream pet!!

You mean "Karoma, the harder to actually camp along with several other hunters and HOPE you get the tame without making another hunter mad and they kill it.... oh... and you have to be L.85 version to get" SPIRIT BEAST version of the GTSG.

You can't seriously sit there and say getting the GTSG was "hard". Anyone can spend some gold to make a tame easier... and it isn't like you did it all by yourself, heh. The "hard" part of getting GTSG was just being the right level at the right time... everything else was cake if you just had the friends to help.
