Undercity's Upper Level [Image Heavy]

I'm sure most of you have seen the sort-of-secret second floor that Undercity has above the ring of main vendors. I've always wanted to go up there, so the other day I decided to try it now that I'm an Engineer and have a parachute cloak.

I jumped off of the sewer pipe with my mount and quickly used the cloak to float down onto that floor. It took quite a few tries to land on the correct spot, but it was pretty nifty once I was up there. ^^

There were stretches of floor/platform interspersed by really cool little tunnels of skull and bone architecture. It was especially neat to run through the giant skull tunnel openings.

I was most amused at the fact that there were Food Crates and Water Barrels up there that you could open and loot. xD

I had no idea! Can you give me more detailed instructions on how to get up there? I'm not familiar with the sewers at all, but I do have the cloak that let's you slowfall and that should work, right?

Sure!


So in the Southwest corner near the Apothecarium there's going to be a staircase that goes up to a door. That leads into the Sewers, aka the back entrance of Undercity and where flights go in and out of.

Navigate upwards until you're at the large pipe opening that faces out into Undercity. It's quite high up. From there you can see the second level. Aim yourself just slightly to the left towards that upper level platform. Take a running jump out of the pipe and hit your parachute right away. Then it all depends on luck if you manage to hit the right spot. Took me a couple of tries, but you'll definitely get it eventually. ^^

When you said that it reminded me of the Kara Crypts. Anybody been there? I haven't, but I've seen pics and vids from friends who went in, and damn is it creepy...but it too feels wasted. All this crazy development and nothing was done with it!

Oh man, the Crypts are one place I really wanted to see, but now it's too risky to get there since you have to glitch your way in and that can definitely lead towards a ban.

I've seen the videos though, man I love that upside down sinners room. The whole place is fantastically morbid, if only they'll open it up to the public.

theres so many places throughout the game that feel wasted, those mentioned in this thread are just a few! i hope they utilise them eventually. UC in particular should be given proper access to that area above the trade ring, theres new content coming in the expansion, so whack all the new npcs and profession trainers etc up there

Aye, I've been in those crypts... It's creepy, and it's obviously a lot of development going to waste. I believe I heard someone official call it an "unfinished dungeon". They probably took it out to avoid having the ESRB on their tails about it.

It's a creepy place nonetheless.

Those are wonderful pics guys...actualy I always wondered can you get up there. Really need to try this ingame now. Same as with the dancing village of trolls!
...I've only been to the mountains in ironforge with the abandoned flightpath and airport runway.
