Your pets favorite people munchies

After my cat tried melted caramel today (and loved it) I figured I aught to see what other peoples pets enjoy.
My cat Jillian loves canned tuna but she also has a few odd favorites for a cat... Creamed corn, pan cakes, hollandaise sauce, cheese puffs, and earl gray tea. Although, we don't ever give the tea to her hot for obvious reasons. lol
She'll actually come running from anywhere in the house (even wake up from a nap in a sunny spot ;D) when she catches a whiff of any one of those foods.

How about your critters? Any favorite food(s) be it normal or unusual? =)

I had a cat who loved pears. Every time I ate a pear she'd be at my feet, and when I finished I'd hold out the core and she'd munch on it.
Another cat I had was convinced she was people. She'd come to the table after we finished eating and eat whatever I'd left, and she particularly loved spaghetti, the really long ones.
The weirdest one though, was my last cat. She'd snub tuna and meat and fish off our plates... but loved velveeta.

My cat eats anything I eat...no joke...fruits/veggies, meat, munchis...chips. chocolate, she really loves popcorn, candy, nuts...this cat eats anything...walking stomache!!

Neither the cat nor my dog can and is allowed human food. They're sensitive for some reason and it usually makes them sick. Both have food allergies to. So it's only "healthy" pet treats for them or I give their dog /cat food as treats.
The cat used to be given deli lunch meats (NOT BY ME) in tiny pieces until the Vet basically said it was a huge no-no because the meats were processed etc.
The dog does get carrots on occasions though and some other veggies when I have them but that's it.
So sadly ................. no human food for them.

My rats ADORE peanuts xD like everytime i get a bag of them i set aside about 5 for the little family then my cat for some reason loves to lick the bowls that vanilla ice cream was in and will eat cheetos like their candy.

Iced tea. When you're staying with us, do NOT LEAVE YOUR ICED TEA UNGUARDED. It's like a drug to our cat. She will do anything to get some.

Our dog will eat pretty much anything, usually. One time I dropped an apple, he picked it up, spat it out and walked away. My response, "What? You prefer Granny Smith?"

Typically, our lot don't get people food, though there are certain exceptions. It's not that I think I'd be feeding them something unhealthy...I just don't want to encourage mealtime begging. Toby the greyhound and Chewie the mixed-breed are absolutely nuts for sushi rolls. I made the mistake of giving them each one to try once, thinking they wouldn't like it. Boy, was I wrong. To this day, I have to make sure to account for two extra pieces of sushi for them when we bring it home for dinner, or there will be doggie riots.

Toby also has a thing for fresh fruit. He likes bananas, he loves apple slices. Those aren't bad for dogs (unlike grapes, which I found out can apparently be very very bad for dogs), so I'll share those with him when we have them.

Norman the cat likes a wide variety of people food, but his consumption is limited by his diabetes. A little nibble of meat or the tail end of broth from a can of chicken soup every now and again is about all I feel comfortable giving him these days. I don't want his blood sugar to get out of whack, so nothing sugary for Norman.

I try not to give my dogs or cats people food, but sometimes they are just so damn cute I can't help it.

I have three boxers. My females are Olive and Misty, and my male is Vega. They will eat anything and everything. They used to be on a raw food diet in which they would get raw (sometimes cooked) meat, as well as some veggies, as their daily diet. They went bonkers over it, they loved it so much. Crunch crunch crunch, they would eat everything and spend half an hour licking the bowl clean. Another thing the three adore is eggs. I have a few dozen chickens and if the dogs are outside while I am gathering eggs I will hand them each one. (Don't worry, we gather every day so there is no possibility of there being a little baby chicken in there). They crunch the egg open and eat the whole thing. My dad also gave Olive a sip of beer one time because she was begging, and now every time anyone has one she will sit by them and drool, but she can't have any. My dogs will eat anything you give them, I usually put my leftovers in with their food and they love it.

Particular favourites include cheese, raw eggs, popcorn and fruit.

My cats... well... there isn't much they don't like either to be honest. I have 8 cats, ranging from just under a year to 16. Their names are Pumba, Oreo, Alley, Freckles, Stan Lee, Fred, Moo & Joe Dirt. We can't leave any food uncovered on our counter because they steal, especially Oreo who is semi-feral still. Once she stole a whole chicken from off the counter and tried to hide it downstairs. >_>

Particular favourites for my kitties include chips/goldfish crackers, any kind of fish/fish juice (like from a can of tuna), cheese, soup and pasta, and milk, but really it's anything. If I have a bowl or a glass sitting on the table and get up for even a second, my oldest cat Pumba will be on it in an instant.

Oh man. My cat is nuts. She's practically a garbage can too, but a picky one. >_>; My cat, Lysa, ADORES potato-based foods usually (mashed potatoes, Wendy's fries, chips, etc...), she'll eat my whole plate of Mac & Cheese if I'm not careful, and she'll lick the bacon grease off my plate when I'm done. She begs like a dog. I'll be eating, and she'll paw at my elbow until I give her some of whatever I'm eating. She'll also jump up on my chair and start eating my food if no one is looking. It's cute, so I bear with the cat spit on my fingers. <3

My cockatiel Spooky loves any type of cereal. She is especially crazy for Cinnamon Toast Crunch~

Before someone jumps my case about being a bad bird owner, I'll go ahead and point out that such sugary treats are VERY rare, and always in small quantities.

Quick edit: I almost forgot! My chinchillas and rabbit LOSE THEIR MINDS over raisins. It's seriously like crack to them. They see me pull out the little red box and they turn into MAN EATING FURRY PUFFBALLS OF DESTRUCTION until their hunger is sated.

My cat eats cheese, licks nacho chips, eats popcorn, butter, ice cream licked out of the bowl, gravy, plain chips but they MUST have dip (Not kidding), peanut butter, fries...I think I'm missing something...meatballs...I'm pretty sure that's it.

He's a very odd cat. He begs a lot too, but we're ignoring him now and he eventually just backs off.

My cat, Squeeky, loves popcorn and pizza-flavored goldfish crackers. And fish. And chicken. My other two cats aren't really big on scraps, though.

My dog would gladly eat everything in the fridge, hehehe. His favourite people munchies are apples, bananas and fish. (not mixed together ofc - but hey, who knows xD)

Both our cats love fries, but we try not to give them any since they are obviously very bad for them (very high in grease and salt), so we only give them each a tiny piece once a month or so. We also, not knowing any better, used to give our cats tuna once in a while, but after spending a few years working at a pet store and learning extensively about pet health and nutrition, we discovered that tuna (the kind made for humans) is extremely high in sodium and therefore can be quite bad for cats in large amounts.

Our boy kitty is far less picky than our girl. If he finds an unguarded drinking glass of any kind, he'll happily sample its contents. Oddly though, I think his favourite non-standard kitty foods are cucumber and asparagus. I can NOT eat either in peace... The moment he smells it he is trying to climb into my lap and grabbing my hand with his paw and pulling it toward his mouth.

Since he begs like a dog for our food all the time, we've gotten into the habit of checking to see which foods are particularly bad for cats. Not sure if anyone else has linked a similar site already, but some of you may find this useful.

(Edit: Found a better list! Though it doesn't specify why all of the foods are bad; some foods can just make your pet sick. Others are extremely toxic - be careful what you feed your babies! Also edited because I am a grammar nazi with OCD.)

My cat, Sabbath, LOVES bacon. He will be sitting at my mom's feet with an unblinking stare until he gets a piece. Oe time my mom was eating a BLT, Sabbath hopped up and took the biggest piece of bacon right out of the sandwich.

My turtle LOVES turkey and chicken. She will push aside all other foods to get at it.

My cat Sketch loves blueberry poptarts. Every time i'd eat one she'd beg me for some. It was her favorite. :3
