Re: Tales of the initiate's
Mania jerked her head up suddenly awake again Sniffing the air she grumbled a low warning as to say "be nice or ill claw you" then her ears started twisting she got up and started pathing a bit back and forth something disturbed her she was unsure what was going on she had smelled two different cats nearing but suddenly one smelled more intense than another,
Sylfina noting her pets sudden wakening sighed a little then rose to her feet opening up her senses putting out track beast she saw the usual beasts and then a different kind darting forward, surprised she let out a quick gasp then raised her voice "don't run so fast my cat isn't the best trained i am not sure i can keep her calm!" Looking towards the brushes the dot seemed to near from she concentrated hard to see what was coming, spotting the druid cat darting forth then the following bee's she suddenly got very confused thinking fast she threw some grass she knew would smoke a lot on the fire so that the bee's might calm when getting closer,
Ducking under the Smoke pulling Mania to her and cowering both their faces with some wet cloth she waited to see what would happen now, Mania struggled a little she wanted to defend the camp and her food but stayed put for once Sylfina thanked the goddess for this,

Shadowglen
Azu tilted her head, hearing a sudden buzzing and watching a dark furred feline race by, trailed by bees. She yelped, falling back a few steps. When she wasn't attacked, she followed after the other druid, head tilted.

Re: Tales of the initiate's
Shadowglen
A few hacking coughs came from the feline as the smoke began to clear, the buzzing of the bee's now fading into the background. A shake of the head and the bright eyes looked around again at the ones that had been there. Oppsies. "Sorry about that.." The voice was rough from lack of use, but had a light enough tone to show it was female.
(( Bah, forget it, I'll just have her talk normally..ish..can't kill my brain thinking of how she could talk otherwise. ))

Re: Tales of the initiate's
Xyrah made her way through the forest, heading in a southeast direction. She was looking for the lake the night elves had mentioned. Once she found the lake, she would more easily be able to locate the white cat's potential roaming grounds.
When Xyrah arrived at the lake, she let out a sigh of awe--it was quite beautiful. She wanted to take a closer look, but there were bog monster things crawling all over the shores and she didn't want to risk an encounter with them. Instead, she made her way around the edge of the lake, heading to its southern shores.
Feeling a bit tired, she set up camp under the shade of a tree in the middle of the cat's hunting grounds. She decided to take a quick nap before continuing her search for the elusive beast. As soon as she fell asleep, the white cat with spots appeared to her in her dreams again. "My dear Xyrah," he said softly to her, "are you prepared for the coming adventures you will face? Are you ready for inexplicable dangers? Are you prepared to face your own death?"
Xyrah didn't waver in her answer. Bowing before the cat, she replied, "Yes."
"Good. Wake up."
Startled, Xyrah awoke to a white cat leaping straight for her. Gasping, she rolled away from the sharp claws, feeling one catch her side as she moved too slow. She quickly rose to her feet in a fighting crouch, forgetting about her bow and arrows. The white cat spun to face her, a grin on its face. It charged Xyrah again and this time she was prepared, getting underneath the cat and throwing him behind her with her feet. She leaped after it, pinning it to the ground, claws and teeth at its neck. Suddenly, the cat licked her on the face. You have met my approval, he said mentally to her.
Caught off guard, Xyrah jumped back. This was the cat from her dreams. Excitement began to overcome her and she quickly bowed. "It is an honor," she said gruffly, still unused to talking.
The cat bounded up to her, nuzzling himself into her chest. You may call me Duskstalker, he said with a purr. From now on, I shall travel with you and protect you from harms way.
Xyrah was elated, although she tried not to show it. She pat Duskstalker on his head and after a second of awkwardness, threw her arms around his neck and hugged him tight. The frost saber purred contentedly. Xyrah released him and stood up, turning back in the direction of Darnassus. She looked back at the lake longily, wanting to take a closer look. Duskstalker noticed and bounded in that direction, a startled Xyrah following.

Sylfina and Mania--Teldrasil/Shadowglen border
Looking up from the place she had thrown her self and Mania down at Sylfina smiled at the new comer "It's all right i was more worried Mania here would have taken a bite out of you, she is somewhat wild still even thou we are working on it" Sylfina completely forgetting the other huntress and her wind serpent then proceeded to ask "hungry ? i have some jerky and egg's to share"
Realising she was getting quite a group at the fire Sylfina rose to her feet to go fetch her backpack with the extra meat and found a extra branch for the fire, sitting down again asking Mania to calm down and throwing her another piece of jerky for her to eat looking at the druid then the hunter she motioned for them to sit and relax, putting the extra branch on the fire she noticed Mania hadent taken her jerky yet and was stalking off in another direction "Mania what is wrong?" Mania just huffed a short stay here and walked on looking focused,
Sylfina not wanting any more surprises looked in the direction again "Did you have anyone with you?" she asked the druid

Sari smiled. She hadn't been paying attention (too busy with making sure Carp didn't choke) and it took her a moment to "zone in".
"Oh, I'm sorry. I was trying to make sure poor Carp didn't hurt herself." The glossy dark-blue wind serpent hissed angrily, likely trying to get the point across that she was competent. "She's still really young. My fishing teacher's pet wind serpent had babies; she's one of them. I'm no good at fishing, though."

Re: Tales of the initiate's
Between the two of them, Xyrah and Duskstalker cleared a path to the lake. Xyrah sat on the shore, admiring its beauty, Duskstalker by her side. She took a claw and traced circles on the top of the water. "I should probably learn to fish so that I might feed both of us properly," she stated absently. Duskstalker purred and she heard a chuckle from him rumble in her mind.
Perhaps the village nearby might assist us, he replied, once more leading the way.

Shadowglen
She shook her head, ears flicking gently as she did so. "I'm not hungry." Not now at least. She sat back on her haunches and glanced over the hunters. They seemed young. "And no, I didn't, but there's a little one near. Or at least, a younger one." Her tail gave a flick as she grinned.

Azu squeaked, caught. She slunk out of the bushes, looking rather guilty. "You won't send me back to the Master, will you?" She asked, worriedly. She didn't want to deal with another lesson on using nature to heal. It made her head hurt and it made her tired.

A laugh came from the feline as she shook her head. "Not at all! I know how boring those lessons can be. Granted, it's been a while. Are they still beating healing into your heads?" She flicked her tail once more before she began to strech herself out.

Azunara nodded, "I'm not good at it, either. It makes my head hurt. I prefer shapeshifting lessons, I'm way ahead of my class! They're all struggling on bears still."

"Hmm, healing?" Sari blinked. "My fishing teacher - who was too drunk to teach me, really - told me a story about a healer once."

"Bah, healing." A shake of her head showed the druid's irritation. "I could never get the hang of it. I ended up making myself too tired to even shift into this form." Her tail flicked slowly behind her.

Azu nodded at the other druid, "I know what you mean." She then looked at Sari, head tilted. "Oh?"

Re: Tales of the initiate's
Xyrah--Dolanaar
Duskstalker had led Xyrah to the small night elven town of Dolanaar. Xyrah was in awe, it was still so new to her to be around towns and other people without them trying to kill her and her wanting to kill them. She hoped they spoke common and would be able to understand her broken speech. She walked up to one of the sentinels and asked, "Do you know where I might learn to fish?"
The sentinel seemed to ignore her question, eyes widening. "Are you a new hunter?" she asked sharply.
Xyrah looked confused. "Pardon?"
The sentinel pointed to the east. "As a new hunter you should be with the training class in Shadowglen. Be on your way."
Xyrah's jaw dropped and then she snapped it shut with a small growl. That was useless, she muttered mentally to Duskstalker; he purred in response.
He flicked his tail toward the east. Well, perhaps the trainers will be more helpful. If that doesn't work, we can try to teach ourselves, he replied to Xyrah, giving her a small lick on the hand.
With a sigh, Xyrah headed off to the east toward Shadowglen since the sentinel had been of no help.
