I do as well. ^^ I think it's due to the Japanese pronunciation of 'Ao' as 'ow', so my mind gravitates towards that.Aotona = Ow-Toe-Nah (I haven't seen anyone else who pronounces it like this QQ )

Aotona -- OW-toh-nah
Araga ---ÄH-rah-gah
My main Sherbe is my modification from the word sorbet, but obviously not pronounced exactly like that. I don't use -ay in the end, for example. Mostly in vent people just say "Sherb", which is fine.
My priest Agape is usually pronounced like the English word for wide open. It's actually a Greek word for godly love, and I pronounce it myself Ah-gah-peh. The word is really Ah-gah-pey.
Hydra sig by Vephriel, may this hydra soon befriend Sherbe!

Re: Pronunciation thread! xD
Aotona - A-o-to-na (both As sound like the u in nut, both Os sound like the o in ton)
Araga - a-RA-ga (again all As like the u in nut)
Gondria - GON-dree-a (another nutty a)
Arcturis - ark-TOO-ris
Skoll - just like that, rhymes with toll
I basically use German pronunciation, most notably the German a. It happens automatically with any name that doesn't look English, even though I play the English version of the game on an English language server.

Re: Pronunciation thread! xD
Loque'Nahak = LOW(k) n'hok
in other words, two and a half syllables. the "que" has no phonetic value except as a final consonant.
The "k' " is a "k" accompanied by a glottal stop (common in Hebrew and various North American native tongues).
For some reason, in my mind, the accent in the second part of his name is on the final syllable., making the first instance of "na" more or less just a lone "N" with a shwa (neutral "uh"-like sound)
so:
LOW - k' - N' -hawk
(can you tell I'm a fan of philology?)
Aotona: Ao - TO - nuh (Ao = "ow!" like "ouch")
Araga: ah-da-gah kind of Japanese-ish... no strong tonic accent, so three relatively equal syllables
(the "d" is the Japanese equivalent of "R"... not quite "R", not quite "D")
I'm wondering why some people are putting "R"s at the end of some of the final syllables?
Is that like the way Prince Charles (the twit) pronounces Canada? ("Ca-na-dur")
Those extra "R"s are a really nasty habit!
They have no philological value!!!

Araga - uh-rah-guh
Aotona - ay-oh-toh-nuh
Probably all wrong, but oh well. This is also coming from the person who for the longest time pronounced draenei as "draw-nay" until my brother harrassed me about it so much that I finally started saying "druh-nye", which is probably still wrong.

Seconded, with a minor correction:
Dreh - ny
(unless that's what you meant by "nay"... like "high")

Oh, and I'll add dungeons on this list as well, because I've heard these two pronounced every possible way they could be, and I wanna hear what you guys think.
Stratholme- St-wrath-holme
Scholomance- Skoll-oh-mance
My two main hunter's names are pretty self-explainatory...
Evandelle- Ev-ahn-delle
Eribess- Air-ah-Bess
As for my main character, my gnome mage...Everyone and their brother pronounce it wrong.

Eirwen- Air-when
As for draenei...I pronounce it Drah-nye (like Bill Nye..the science guy

I'd like you to take this opportunity to savor how much time I managed to devote to not reading Loque'nahak's name that two years later it took a random forum post about pronunciation for me to even notice all the syllables. (Happens more often than you'd think....)

Re: Pronunciation thread! xD
Don't think that's totally right though. You can hear what it's supposed to sound like in the Draenei Intro if you really want to know.
As for instances:
Stratholme - STRAT-holm (no nutty A, those come later and are repersented by Us)
Scholomance - SKOH-loh-mance
Ahn'Qiraj - un-KEE-rush
Auchindoun - ow-keen-DOON
Azjol'Nerub - US-yoll-NEH-roob
Ahn'kahet - un-KU-hat
And another place I've always had problems with:
Auberdine - o-bear-DEEN (almost like Aberdeen, don't know why)

Stratholme - STRATH-owlm (the a pronounced like the a in hat)
Scholomance - skol-oh-mance (the first syllable is pronounced the same way I pronounce Skoll - the o sounds a bit like the vowel sound in "aw")
Ahn'Qiraj - un-KEE-rush (just like you, Mindsprocket ^^)
Auchindoun - aw-keen-DAWN
Azjol'Nerub - us-djoll-neh-ROOB
Ahn'kahet - un-KU-het
Much gratitude to Spiritbinder for the signature and Vephriel for the avatar! <3

Aotona - A-oh-toh-na
Also, I pronounce Draeni as Dray-eh-nye. with the Nye pronounced like eye.
My name - Gim-lee-in. Think Gimmli with an 'in' at the end...

Skoll - Like Skull
Echeyakee - ah-chay-yah-key

Re: Pronunciation thread! xD
Because the worm is just that epic.
But eh.
Loque'nahak: LowK [low with a K sound basically]-Nah-Hak
Ryai- name started originally as an RP handle, which was derived from another RP handle. Which, I don't think anyone can pronounce. Including myself. But; Rye-I, Ree-I, Ray-I, Rye-Ay, Rye-Ah etc etc etc..
But most just pronounce it SPUD.
Also on Draenei; Dray-niegh, Dray-Nigh, Dre-nigh, Dre-niegh... I mostly pronounce it Dray-Nigh tho.

Re: Pronunciation thread! xD
dra-nye (dra being the same from the word 'draft')
And just for the heck of it, my character's name would be like:
veff-ree-elle
Spoken quickly, so the three syllables just sort of flow into each other.
