Baaz returned to the cave, where his puppy-like exuberance seemed to evaporate. He tould feel the tension in the air. Something must have happened, he wasn't sure what though. Nor if he could help any; he still felt very much like a stranger here. He turned to Lilith and watched her reaction.

"Who the hell are you?" Venin sneered back. "Your postruing doesn't frighten me puffball, I've known Poochyena who were more intimidating than you."
She nonchalantly stretched her paws out, flexing her body, giving a quick look at the others. They seemed more timid than this one. Was this some sort of pack, like the Hounds had been? This Flareon certainly strutted himself around like it. He was no seventeen though, she could easily take him if he wanted to fight... Still, the others may attack as well, should this one give the order. She wasn't sure how many she could take down if they all came at her at once. Best play semi-nice for now.
"Venin, and I heard you bellowing from the other side of the forest. I came to investigate."

Apple whined as he felt the tension of the above "I-I wanna stop playing.." he whined hoping the sandshrew would hear

Lily whined, she rubbed agasint chomp scared

((Back! Sorry. Very busy week. (Aren't they all? I know, I know. >.<) Aww, poor Ghost and Sol. *Scarab whispers to Solara* Join the Dusk! We'll kill the Umbreon, and the dinosaur for kicks! Better yet, use them for the new Dusk experiments! C'mon, you know you want to join!))

Summer blinked at Ghost and Sol. Last time she had really spoken to them, they had acted like sisters. Now... Well. Something had clearly changed there. She flicked her tail, unsure of if she could help them. Her ears lowered, agonized that her sisters had fallen apart so.

Hands hissed and shook her head at Chomp. 'To be honest, no,' she scratched, 'I understand that some of you hate the Dusk, but it seems like some of you think killing all of them is the only way. They always forget about the Sunrise and how they can cure all of the Dusk if you just plan right. But no, revenge is all they think about. "How can we kill Scarab? How can we kill all of the innumerable families in the Dusk?".' she finished, and lashed bitterly at the ground.

[Kira]

Terra blinked and made his way back to Apple. He then began to move upward to let him get out. "Yeah, I felt that too..." He held out a paw to help him out of the hole.

Apple grabbed terra's hand using it rather as a support to 'flip' himself out of the ground "So what's your name? you new here? can we be friends?" he really did like the new sandshrew he smiled

[Kira]

"I'm Terra! I just got here...I um..I used to be a Dusk.." Terra said with a grin. Still sorta was a Dusk, but oh well!

[rubybeam]

"I'm apple! I was never dusk..I was always dawn I guess!" he grinned "It's okay you look cool as a dusk!"

[Azunara]

((...Sad part is, Sol will be all for that...Initiating Phase Dusk Sol...Now.))

Solara scowled, shaking herself. Finally, she stepped outside of the cave, promising mentally to not go far, just let loose some frustration. She leaped at a tree, tearing it with her claws. Stupid Ghost. Stupid Iron. The Dawn hated her, the Sunrise loathed her, and the Dusk wouldn't want her. Unless...What if she gave them something? The bird was usually unguarded. If she could take Hands and find their way to the Camp...For once, Sol wished the voices were there. Sure, they were a nuisance, but they did have their merits.

She leaped at another tree, pretending it was Ghost, tearing it to pieces.

((Speaking of Dusk experiments, I think it's about time we kick started that up. ))

Dr. Insins lifted up the solution to the light. He had done all he could, the new virus was finished. All that was needed now was a few willing subjects and some time to monitor just exactly would happen. A smile crept upon his face, just what wonders would this create?
No time for musing now. He limped outside to a nearby pokemon. "Find the Kabutops for me, tell him the new Dusk is ready for testing."

[Lupis]

The nearest Pokemon was Buzzard, who nodded at the scientist and flapped into the air, looking for Scarab. He landed before the Kabutops and spoke quietly. "The new Dusk virus is ready to test. You want to see, right?" When Scarab nodded, Buzzard wordlessly let the Kabutops swing up on to his back and took off back to Insins.

Delrokx was still watching Hands, waiting in the shadows. She saw Solara, though - and she knew there was potential there. Smiling, she deep faded to the tree, then unfaded in the branches and watched Solara with glittering black opal eyes. The sableye grinned.

[Azunara]

Solara snarled, recoiling. She was not in the mood, "What do you want?" She hissed, tail lashing.

[Lupis]

Delrokx looked towards Hands, then back at Solara. "Your help. The Feraligator is too close for me to get Hands out of sight."

[Moonlost]

Insins found himself pacing impatiently. He couldn't rememeber the last time he had been so excited about a project. What would this new strain do? he yearned to know, why was the kabutops taking so long to get here? As if on queue, he saw Buzzard and Scarab land. He ran a hand though his messy hair and adjusted his glasses in a vain attempt to make himself more presentable.

"There you are." he said to the Kabutops. "It's finished and ready to test."

Insins gestured towards the lab, grinning with pride.

Dr.zyne sighed this had all been a mess the last few days hadn'y it? she remebered the other scientists wondering on what they would be doing...dr.insins that fool she hoped he wasn't doing anything bad. she sank down into a sofa taking one last sip before seeing an empty mug

[Lupis]

((I think I helped Insins fail on the "Not doing anything bad" thing...))
Scarab nodded approvingly. The voices were practically screaming with excitement. This was what they had been waiting for ever since seeing the scientist! Finally, a chance to perfect what they had started!
"Impressssive. Buzzard, you are the firsst to be tessted. We are curiousss to sssee how thiss will work, Ssscientisst," Scarab said, the voices too excited to change the "we" to "I".

[Azunara]

Solara blinked, "How do I know you both won't kill me after? Why should I help you, anyway?"

[Magnakilro]

Soundwave followed Solara, "Sol!"

Lilith looked around with a frown, "What happened?"

Chomp sighed, "I'm really sorry....a lot of my friends are really conflicted....particularly the eeveelutions....I wish I could help them...."

((Oh but what's the fun of having the mad scientist not doing anything mad
And trust me, Insins is only just getting started. Bwahahahahahahaha!))

"Follow me down into the lab," Insins told the two, before limping down into the complex himself. "I have a monitoring cell set up. Although I engineered this new Dusk, I'm still unsure as to exacly how this pseudo-evolution will take effect. I'm anticipating an initially violent reaction though, this is a precaution for that."

He opened a heafivly reinforced toor to a concrete room with a singular, reinforced one-way window. He pointed Scarab over to another door; the viewing chamber for this cell, before reaching into his labcoat and pulling out a hypodermic needle with a thick, black mixture inside it.

"Let me know when you are ready." He said.

Gamin saw Scarab taken by Buzzard. Just what was their leader planning anyway? Curiosity got the better of him, or perhaps he was using it as an excuse not to think about Seventeen. Either way, he started to trot over to the lab.

[Lupis]

Delrokx shrugged. "Well, I have no reason to trust you not to stab me in the back, either. But I appear to be fairly vulnerable and still asking for help of all things. I could swear my loyalty if ya want, or do you have something in mind?" She eeped and faded as Soundwave approached.

Hands sighed, 'It's not your fault, you can at least keep them together. I wish people had more...' she paused for a moment, thinking, 'SENSE. But what can you do?' She sighed. 'Not like I have that much myself. Obsessing over someone who left me for dead and probably forgot about me. Makes me all the more worried about him. Now how does that make sense?'

Scarab nodded, and gestured to Buzzard. Loyally the Charizard entered the monitoring cell, and sat with his wings tucked and his tail wrapped tightly around his legs to stop any initial violence - mostly to save Insins from any sort of attack.
