Not that I don't believe mind you, but that wolf skin was my absolute favorite color and when Blizzard took it from me all those years ago I was most upset I would like to have my Maxwell back.

When was this skin available before? To my knowledge, it's only ever been on the minipet.Rikaku wrote:Not that I don't believe mind you, but that wolf skin was my absolute favorite color and when Blizzard took it from me all those years ago I was most upset I would like to have my Maxwell back.

Way waaaaaaaaay back. Vanilla WoW.Kalliope wrote:When was this skin available before? This skin was used on the LBRS Worg who, at the time, was the only way to get the highest rank of Bite. At the time, the Bloodaxe Worg was a color changer, just like the minipet. In a patch shortly after the release of the original Naxxramas, they removed the color changing ability of many pets, and the Bloodaxe Worg was one of them. Thus the brown and white worg skin was put into unobtainable status
For those curious, the patch was 1.12.0 that removed many color changers. http://www.wowpedia.org/Patch_1.12.0
[from WoWpedia]
Though it says Scarshield Worg became "brown" it didn't become the brown skin we all longed for The Bloodaxe became Black worgs and the Scarshields were the reddish looking Worgs (like Barnabus or the worgs in Burning Steppes).If a hunter has tamed one of the following creature types, they will no longer potentially change colors if resummoned:
* Son of Hakkar - Red
* Frenzied Bloodseeker Bat - Brown
* Deep Stinger - Red
* Dark Screecher - Gray
* Cave Creeper - Brown
* Bloodaxe Worg - Black
* Scarshield Worg - Brown
But now... I can be happy. I WILL OBTAIN MAXWELL AGAIN HEEHEE <3
