New core hound: Chromaggus now tameable!

Razorgore was bugged, and we couldn't continue. Probably tameable in 4.0.3a, but I wasn't able to personally verify that he is currently not tameable on live 4.0.3

For what it's worth, Buru the Gorger is still not classified as a beast, so I don't think we'll see any of the new tameables this patch, even if they are in instances.

Obviously late, and needed a GM to bypass Razorgore, but he's currently tagged as a dragonkin. Have an extendable ID now right at him, though, which is great, and will pop back in here when 4.0.3a hits. Screenshot if you want absolute proof

Question, I might be running my guild through BWL for the achievement when 4.0.3a comes out. If I tame him, will the final boss be unaccessable, or will he respawn?

I would think you'd be able to fight Nef just fine, and a tamed Chromaggus would in effect be a dead Chromaggus.

Not positive, but I'd bet on that.

Hey fellow draenorian. I did exactly the same thing as you and cleared my way upto Chromaggus then extended the lockout.
Fortunately Razorgore wasnt bugged for us.

So next week after the patch if you see someone AFK in dal with the same corehound as you, its likely to be me

Unfortunately with the amount of other fine creatures I'm looking to tame, I may not find the time immediately to AFK in Dalaran to the degree I'd like to. Hopefully you can soak up all the "where did u get dat" tells from alliance hunters and level 1 log-overs from the horde so that I can afk in peace

Yesterday, my guild kindly ran me through BWL to stop at Chromaggus and allow me to keep the lockout. Unfortunately, Razorgore bugged out on us, leaving us stuck in his room with adds constantly spawning. However, a GM quickly replied to a petition we placed and fixed the encounter for us, opening the gates to let us out. While our guildy was talking to him though, I asked if he could throw out "Hey, do you happen to know if raid lockouts will be lost in 4.0.3a"?

The GM's reply was a "Probably, but we're not sure."

Hopefully I won't lose it, but at least I won't be so let down if I do.

Does Chromagus change color or does the shimmer dissapear?

Chromaggus is a boss in Blackwing Lair, right before Nefarian. One of the most challenging aspects to Chromaggus is the randomness of his abilities. As the name suggests (the word chromatic is derived from "khroma", the Greek word for "color", suggesting Chromaggus takes his powers from dragonflights from all colors), Chromaggus shimmers in a variety of colors, which relate to his current abilities. These abilities are determined upon instance creation, and will only be reset with the instance timer.
