Today marked the introduction of two fluffy, cord-chewers into our oddball family! The whole apartment loves animals (especially cats) and have wanted to rescue one for quite some time but do to one roomie being allergic to anything with fur it wasn't possible. Well, a few days ago Mike moved off to California (love you hun! Miss you ) and we settled down with the intent that someday soon we would make space in our home for a feline in need of a bunch of gaming, cat loving maniacs. After daily scouring of Craigslist and trips to local Petsmart adoption centers I came across our two new purr generators.
They are brother and sister and just hit 6 weeks, the little girl is a pretty gray tortie with a fluffy long coat named Lyla and the little guy is a short haired orange tabby, Tobi. Once I can find my camera cord I'll pop up more shots but here's one of each until that happens!
Lyla & Toby
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ok, I can't find my camera cord so phone pictures will have to do! Kittens had there first trip to the vet yesterday and they're still a bit loopy, but they don't seem to be any worse for ware. Their personalities are coming through now.
Lyla is very sweet, she will run to the door to greet you when you get home and rub on your leg until you pick her up and cuddle with her. She loves to play but sleeping in a warm lap is still her favorite activity (like right now for instance).
Tobi on the other hand is very rambunctious, he tares through the house like a bandit and everything is a toy to him. He has taken out all the plastic grocery bags we keep to recycle from their cabinet and strewn them across the apartment more than a few times, he loves to tackle his sister and go after shoelaces, regardless of whether or not they contain feet. Tobi is not much for cuddling unless he really feels like it but head scratches are always welcome.
