Aotona & King Krush - spawn times linked?

Hyjal US - about 6:45pm (my time) Aotona popped and I tamed him/her. First time in probably a year of circling the Basin that I even saw Aotona in the wild. Crazy.

Anyway, my question is -- does anyone know if Aotona's spawn timer is in any way linked to King Krush's? I asked in /general every time I log in if anyone has seen any of the rare's and all I ever get back are cricket's, so this may be the only info I get to try and dial in on the King's spawn time.

Any help or advice is appreciated.

No, unfortunately; the only rares that are linked are TLPD/Vyragosa

I don't think so but I know that Loque and Krush can spawn at the same spot and at the same time. I person mentioned that happening on wowhead.

I dunno if they changed it with the tame being shorter/faster but I know that before you could not tame Krush alone. I had to have a guildie run back and buy a priest to fear ward me to get him.

during my hunt in SB, i killed KK (second sighting and no hunters around), about 30 secs later killed Aotona.

They aren't linked as such but there's some partially-proven theory that only a certain number of Northrend rares can be up at any given time.

The way it supposedly works is that when Krush's respawn timer clicks, for example, he will only spawn if there's room for him to--there's only allowed to be three (or was it five?) rares up in all of Northrend at once. Apparently this accounts for the variations in spawn times.

So if you see Krush die or get tamed, come back say an hour before his spawn time, do a full Northrend circuit and kill or tame any other rares (or find homes for tameables of course), and hopefully he will spawn at his appointed minimum time.

It's still not fully proven tho, but if you do this I suggest you employ people who are already looking for the rares anyways this way you keep either A: hunters happy or B: achievement seekers happy. And if those people are made happy by you, they in turn will probably gladly help you out.

I mean if the rares need to die- if they really need to die as while there has been 'proof' posted, going back it was also still pointed out officials have still not given clear word on it all [devs or blizz or gms], it's best they die for just a better reason of 'to make Krush spawn' :p

Hah! Truly. The last time I saw Krush in general, he was dead right by Nessingwary's camp. Not sure what mental infant at Blizzard thought it was a good idea to pat him by there.

okay ive been flying around for about 6 hours looking for KK, I found him dead, when should I hunting for him again? and where would be the best spot for me to sit (instead of flying around?)

I'm not sure if they are linked but I killed Aotona on accident about a week and a half ago and walked up and tamed King Krush within the next 20 seconds on Norgannon. I had been looking daily for a month or so and never saw either and one day they were both just there. Didn't mean to kill the bird but forgot to dismiss my wasp before I tagged it.

I tamed krush while flying circuts for aotona ( i wanted him but hadnt made the top priority ) aotona spawned about 20 minutes later tamed her also
