seagulls = one-hit

seagulls are the best pet blizz ever gave us. and i do truly mean it ^^...beside chromaggus maybe

Yeah, pretty much anything tamable in the zones that aren't 80+ are going to be available. I know I'm going to grab my Beetle, Brain Bug, Seagull, Chromaggus and Black Fox as soon as the servers are up tomorrow.

Basically, everything not in one of the new zones* (or > level 80) will be tameable after 4.0.3a.

*those are the Goblin Starting Area (Kezan & Lost Isles), the Worgen Starting Area (Gilneas), and the level 81 to 85 zones (Hyjal, Vashj'ir, Deepholme, Uldum, Twilight Highlands, and Tol Barad)

I was thinking that if you could get CLOSE enough to a rare pet to see it, if it was 80 and in a zone you can't get into, you could send a trash pet to pull it back to you for the tame >.>

However, I doubt this applies to, well, any of them

Maybe there's a very weird bug of sorts??? But no, i bet it will be instanced off like the Entrance to Ghostlands from EPL currently is (to make it so noone without BC can go in etc)

Nope, the new zones (at least those located in the existing continents) are physically "there" in 4.0.3a, complete with mobs and NPCs and all, you just can't get into them because you get ported out immediately. You can however take a look into them with Eagle Eye.

Oh, see. Now you're making me wish I still had Eyes Of The Beast. Send a pet in and pull them out.

I wonder if /targeting a critter and sending your pet might be able to drag them within taming/killing range...

I'll have to try on Wednesday, if someone doesn't beat me to it.

I can't get behind the seagulls.

They don't fly like that in real life and they look too danged goofy.
