So being someone from a country were you will go to jail for haveing a snake of any kind dead or alive( and there is a VERY simple reason for that its not a stupid lore when you think about it) I have to ask IS IT MADE OUT OF CORN? or does it play Korn songs? If not I think is very silly :P

P.S You should of got a Tuatara! Oh wait you'd go to jail for that darn......

Oh god I'd love a tuatara! When I was in elementary school we were assigned to do a presentation on a randomly selected area. I got Nova Scotia but convinced the teacher to let me do New Zealand instead. It was supposed to be a 5 minute presentation on the cool things about the area - this would have been in maybe second grade? So very simple.

Instead I did a full 30 minutes on the tuatara, including the physiological qualities that distinguish them from lizards.

Mind you, the teacher shut me down after about ten minutes, so I stayed after school and made her listen to the rest. Sometimes I still corner random people and start telling them about tuataras.

And to answer the question, I think they are called corn snakes because they were common on farms - in the corn, you see. Or maybe in corn silos. Anyway they control mice pretty well in a corn-rich environment.

Ah I see. Well If your ever In New zealand come over to Auckland city and I could take you to the zoo. They have like 10 or so tuatara and if its sunny out they will be outside or they will be in there tunnels but they have made tunnels for them with like veiwing platforms for us to see them. We used to have 5 cent coins that had them on it but we don't use 5 cents anymore.
