Best Race for hunter

I'm using this poll to decide on what race I am going to pick for my hunter. I will be doing pvp. Please decide by using racials and other opinions.

I just went and voted my two fave races [well two of them] before looking lol.

Anyways I've seen posts like these before and I don't mind them for the most part.. if they're well thought out and they just need people offering opinions over the pros and cons of races for competitive PVP. IE: Trolls would probably be good because of their racials. Orcs seem more pve with their pet racial. Tauren's TStomp is good as a last ditch effort. Belves have silence, Dorfs get Stone Skin, Draenei have a HoT and nelves have shadowmeld. Goblins will get something [well they have something anyways] and UD will have WotF which is as good/better than having a trinket.

Tho tbh I think it takes the fun outta the game when you just roll a certain race/class specc just to rock in pvp/pve and not cause you like said class and or race.

Don't forget the human racial, Ryai. I think human hunters will be good for pvp.

That being said, I agree with Saturo and Veph, it's getting a little annoying how many threads like this pop up. I don't mind helping out and answering questions about racials or whatever, but when three-four threads already exist that discuss this, people should be reading those posts instead of starting new topics.

I must admit that it also grinds my gears to see the "pick my toon for me" type of posts. I'll happily discuss pros and cons of classes in different situations, but really. Pick your own toon. >.>

I picked Draenei because they have a very basic healing option and the 1% less hit bonus.

@ Steele10, notice how almost everyone is saying a different race. We all have our personal opinions on them, so you'll be hard pressed to find a unanimous vote for something like this.

Do yourself a favor and pick the race that you like. Don't let others dictate the game for you.

I would say Troll or Orc. Troll has the automatic health recharging and 5% more dmg on beasts.
Orc's pet deals more dmg then usuall pet so DPS pet like devilsaur can be deadly.

No seriously..I never liked trolls, till Gigglemonsta, now I wonder why i made all my other chars Bloodelves lol!

Trolls are win Cool animations (especially /cheer), they are hugely tall (eat a giant feast, ur like double the height of bloodelves around org!!! lol), and have a wacky culture.

edit: Oh and we have berserking, but as said above, don't pick a race based on racials, they keep nerfing them anyway, pick one on what you like

Dwarf- Small gun skill increase. Can remove bleeds and poisons. Good for PvP
Night Elf- Shadowmeld, instant aggro dump. With a cat pet you can take toiletbreaks anytime. Small stat increase to agility. Decent for both PvE and PvP.
Draenei- +1% hit aura. Basically gives you one percent additional DPS. Small heal, good for soloing. PvE.

Orc- Decrease in effectiveness of stuns. Attack Power bonus. Good for burst damage. Increases pets damage. Good for both PvP and PvE.
Troll- Haste bonus. High natural agility. Awesome dance. Decent for both PvP and PvE.
Tauren- Stun. High health. Would be good for PvP, if not for their size. First target in any BG. Decent for both PvP and PvE.
Blood Elf- High agility. Can regenerate 6% mana with a two minute cooldown. Slight immunity against arcane damage. Bad reputation amongst players, you'll get called noob more often. Arcane Torrent is a neat manaregen spell during raids, and an interrupt in PvP. Also small targets. Good for PvP and PvE.

Tho admitedly the biggest noobs horde side concerning Belves are usually paladins.

Stop a raid in Falconwing square- get harassed by lv 12 belf pally.

Stop a raid in XR: get harassed by lv 9 belf pally...

I actually like noobs. A lot of my friends don't get it, but I like helping them, and I hang out with a lot of them cause they are hilarious

HEHE also its fun just to hangout with people, I don't get those clique's of people that only hangout with people in the best gear, and won't talk to anyone else.

Not quite. It's not a true aggro dump. Your threat will be at the same level as before (except that, of course, it'll tick down a bit as you're not DPSing while shadowmelded), so you'll have to let the tank put out some more threat before unleashing again. I think we're spoiled by FD.

Never really played a Nelf tough, so I wouldn't really know.

Shadowmeld is like iceblock.

It's a temporary solution, but you get all your aggro back when you un-shadowmeld. HOWEVER, it can still save you, either during (some) wipes or giving the chance for your feign cooldown to come back up.
