Ant Silithid Sin Talent Points

Just logged on and my level 80 ant silithis on;y gets 6 talent points. Anybody else experiencing this? Anybody know of a fix?

Try putting it in your stables (reset talents) and bring it back out.


- Most likely due to having talents set while it was a scorpid (tenacity) and is now a Silithid (cunning).

They get all their old talents, and some of the cunning talents from the points you get!

Tried stabling my pet. Still gives me only 6 talents points. I'll piddle around with it for a while.

Huh, I have issues with my ant silithid, but very different ones. When I summon him, he appears as normal, then... simply disappears. In effect, he despawns within seconds of being spawned. No error message, nothing.

My ant is bugged!

Cialbi... he's not an exotic. Are you BM? Saw a few people have that problem already. mine stays out, but I only gte points to spend in his tree. When I hit "learn" for those points, he won;t learn them and when i close the screen, it tells me I still have points to spend. lol Gonna have to hang out and see what happens.

Oh, I think I was in my offspec (mainspec is BM, offspec is MM). Silly me!

Thought i would chime in on this since i was confused at first as well. Do Not Stable the pet, as stated above. The pet has all of the tenacity points that you spent earlier, check your spellbook.

and you only get a few xtra points with the cunning tree, these are free points. And im sure this will get fixed real soon. And if your having issues spending your points its because you cannot double up on points you spent on it before, but you can spend them on the things you didnt take, so just add points around til you find the things you can spend them on. hope that helps some people who might be confused like i waS.

only problem with my ant is the dash --> mobility(dive) talent

I've found that Putting your pets into the deep stable (Last page) will reset them, while keeping them on the front page will not. I believe this is along the same lines as the NPCscan bug, where it will trigger for any pets you have on page one, but not page two (even if opened to page two).

So! I stabled my ant, and nothing happened. Visited the trainer, untrained him... and voila. Fixed it.

Un-train it, and it should give you all the points. Worked for me.

I just tamed mine a day ago and never named it,and now it doesn't give me the option to name it. I am worried, farming mats now to make a scroll to see if it works

I never bothered naming mine, since I knew a scroll would probably be an option... and if it *didn't* turn into an ant, I wouldn't really have a reason to keep it. I don't particularly have a need for a scorpid yet. Even a pretty blue one!

Lets say that my NE hunter (25) used this as a Leveling pet, and Doesn't actually want the ant, but a scorpid... Is it possible to abandon this pet? Or do I really have to wait 44 levels to abandon the wretch....

I encourage you to simply stable the ant, since I'd hate to see you throw it away only to change your mind later. That, and your ant ought to serve as a 'stupid parlor trick' when you're in a group and waiting for whatever reason.

That said, if you're unable to abandon your pet in the narrow window of time you'll have between Call Pet and the bugger despawning, then ticket a GM to see if they can get rid of the pet for you.

EDIT: I assume that since your Nelf can't possibly have the Beast Mastery talent, you have a vanishing ant for a pet.

As I like the ant model, I much prefer the Teal coloration for them, and Also prefer the Tanks over the ants. So if I ever get a Silithid it'll be a tank (Or teal Ant if made tamable by then). I'll try the quick abandon, and ticket.
