Brain bug bugged

Unread post by Kynarah »

I just tamed the Gorishi fledgling colossus (only brain bug I've found soo far) and found him to be bugged. He won't move, just sits there, I run away and he will just despawn :(. Tried retaming with the same result. Hopefully anyone else going for the bug is having better luck

It's been reported several times- and while it is kind of you to post here, there have been 4-6 threads about this already. The best thing you can do for us is to flag this ingame, now, and try to get a GM alerted about it. Because Junior here is suffering from the same problems Death ravager and Gezzarak had.

Buru the gorger has the same model, and I tamed him. He's not bugged like his Un Goro counterpart.

First thing I did when I logged on was to go tame Princess Yuaj in AQ 40. Solo'd the first boss and tamed her on the first try, though I died after the taming. She is behaving just fine. No complaints or bugs (pun unintended).

Can I just ask Killskillz, how you went about soloing the first boss? I've tried in the past and it always makes me rage-quit sooner or later, just can stop getting MCd and murdering my pet :( and with all the new shinies in AQ40 would love to be able to get in there properly solo. Any help is appreciated :)

The key to avoiding mind control is to remain at absolute max range from the boss, yet still be able to deal damage to him. As long as you are at max range he can't MC you. The other important part to the fight is that at every 25% the boss will create 2 clones of himself. When this happens you will take massive aoe damage which you cannot survive through. So at 76%, 51%, and 26% you will want to feign death to avoid the damage. When he splits, and makes the clones you need to continue to remain FD'd until both of the clones are dead. You can tell your pet to attack them and it is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Just remember once you come out of FD not to dps him too fast because you need your FD to come off of CD before he goes into another split phase. I used a spirit beast for spirit mend so that I could still have heals for my pet while I was FD'ing. That along with cower keeps him alive while he takes down the 2 clones. I'm sure it could be done with a tenacity pet as well, it would just take a little longer.

It will take a few tries to get it right and remember to stay at max range, but once you get it down its really easy. Good luck! :)
