Timber Found possibly?

Timber may not be gone afterall....I have my hopes up. I was in midflight and I think I was too high up but my SilverDragon spotted Timber just as I was entering Dun Morough from Searing Gorge. Someone may wanna check that out. I know I will asap.

Shouldn't be too hard to verify if he's still around. He was one of the easier to find rare mobs, partially because the few people that ventured that way were of a low enough level to get torn to shreds by Timber's wolf pack. Hence, I don't think he has a despawn timer, just a longer than usual spawn timer. I've also speculated that his spawn timer might be linked to his wolf pack, in that he won't seem to respawn until his entire wolf pack has respawned.

However, it could also be a tamed Timber in the same area. Does SilverDragon still do that?

You could've seen someone's pet Timber, then when you entered Dun Morgoh it pops up the thing. Happens to me all the time. Entering Storm Peaks, it pops up Skoll on me if I saw him somewhere else. Also had that with Gondria today, soon as I entered Zul Drak, the thing pops up saying it's found it, when I just saw someone's pet earlier.

I've never had SilverDragon pick up pets. Thats more of NPCSCan.

Silverdragon always picked up pets for me. I would be nowhere near where the original mob would spawn, but the Silverdragon would go off as soon as I entered the zone that the mob is found in cause I happened to have seen it as someone's pet in Dal or the like.

If pets are in the zone that they were tamed in... then yes Silver Dragon WILL pick them up. It will warn you that it may be just a pet, but it will still go off.

Let me clarify what I just said... If you are in Sholozar Basin looking for Krush, Loque, or Aotona and someone goes by you with one of those rares as a pet... your Silver Dragon sees that it is a beast with the right NPC ID, AND in the correct zone for that NPC ID, AND Silver Dragon doesn't know it is a pet... then Silver Dragon will do its thing to alert you.

There is NO setting on Silver Dragon that can be turned on to automatically NOT tell you what it is seeing is a pet and not a beast that is standing there waiting to be tamed.

Well, his wolf pack has in all likelihood been killed off by a bunch of low-level gnomes and their spider tanks. They now occupy the island that the wolf pack used to stand guard over. Too bad, I always liked that place. Such a nice touch to have a wolf pack with posted sentries to watch over their territory.

So, unless he just so happened to have been moved, I'm willing to presume him extinct.

Were they named something? Naming them makes SD know they are pets.
