A bit disappointed
This isn't being written to start drama, a fight or anything the like it's just me stating how I feel. Right now I'm severely disappointed. I've thought about it for a while and whether or not I should post but it's really needling at me.
I am disappointed at the seemingly unwillingness to help others within the guild tonight. I understand that everyone is excited to see all the changes and of course get new pets. But when it's asked for help in guild chat, there's 20 members on and no one responds. My first question was if anyone was going to tame Gezz and I got no answer. I asked where you get the quest at to get the scrolls to summon her. No answer. Asked a few other questions all with zero replies.
I wanted to come along to take a crack at taming Chroggamus when it was my turn in line or at least watch the festivities. I asked about that and it was said about maybe meeting at Blackrock Mountain and preemptively I head there. See a fellow guildie as I fly over heading to the mountain. I get there get to the mountain and cannot find a single soul. So I as about getting in and then was asked if I knew where it was. I said no. And I waited. Waited. Then asked if someone could tell me where cause I'd never been in and no reply. Wait. Ask again in guild chat. Nothing. I waited at the front of blackrock mountain for about 20 minutes. Nothing. So I left. Went back to questing and running randoms then logged out.
This was extremely disappointing that I asked several different questions none of which had been replied to.
Again I'm not looking to start drama, a debate, argument or anything really then to state the way I feel.

I think part of the problem is anything you say just gets buried in guild chat as there so much being said in it.

Re: A bit disappointed
I'm not sure if I was online at the time (I've been on and off so many characters all day xD), but I'm sure there were no ill-intentions. As you said, today's been absolute chaos with all the changes and taming and new stuff going on. Guild Chat has been constantly running, even I'm having trouble keeping up with it. While I was online I was also usually focused on quest text or too intent on what I was doing to pay attention to the chat much. I've probably missed 90% of the conversation today because I was too distracted by tabbing out to the Forums/Petopia to find info or just going around seeing and taming stuff.
Not to say that's an excuse for poor behaviour, but I think in this case it was most likely an overlook due to the frenzy of patch day. I'm sure everyone would be glad to help you out once it calms down a bit, and I can't imagine there was anything done on purpose to make you feel ignored. Let me know if I'm online, you can whisper me if you like to get my attention. ^^

Re: A bit disappointed
Seen this before in other guilds its annoying when it happens but mostly its cause
*people are to busy with their own things to notice
*people think he/she will just go look it up on a site
*people are to exited with new stuff to think straight and unintentionally ignore others while in their haze
*people don't give a rats ass (this is very rare though)
wouldn't think about it to much if i were you and just get on with other things some days things are just blegh other days everyone is awesome and great
as for the scrolls if you haven't found out yet they drop of some mobs you need some shadow elixir for and it is all done in skettis the mobs drop some dusts you hand in 6 at a time and get 1 potion/elixir
http://www.wowhead.com/item=32446 the elixirs
http://www.wowhead.com/item=32620 the scrolls you will need 10 to summon her and it might take a few potions also the scrolls only drop of the mobs you see when using the elixir
Head up its always good to mention when you feel sad about something else people wont know that they seemed to have forgotten you

Re: A bit disappointed
I'm sorry
I was running the Chromaggus run and I completely missed you. It was kind of chaos in there and I was oblivious to anything that was said in G-chat.
We're running it again next week, and exploiting the new raidlock system to get everyone a new Two-Headed dragon puppy. We'd be more than happy to take you along to that, and this time no-one leaves without a Chromaggus to call their own.

I haven't really got anything to add because well, it's all been said and I wasn't on at the time, but I'll say one thing: my hubby constantly pointed out gchat to me tonight. People were asking me questions and I was completely oblivious, taming spawned mobs (and figuring out how to make them spawn), trawling for new skins that didn't have maps on wowhead, tabbing out to find threads on these forums, and so on. Like everyone has said, I'm sure there was no ill intent on anyone's part although that doesn't really make it feel any less hurtful.

Re: A bit disappointed
If you find yourself being ignored, whisper someone. More than likely it's because people don't see it or are busy. I find comments I make often ignored too, especially yesterday. Asked a few things repeatedly, got no answer. Just a new patch frenzy everyone was in.

Re: A bit disappointed
patch day that results in the world exploding = psycho-ness
sometimes frankly, its easier to ask questions on the forums (IE about Gezz), that way you can get detailed responses when people have time to do research or explain fully to you.

Re: A bit disappointed
I don't know if I was on or not for this, but I agree...for the parts of the day I WAS online, Gchat was wild. It just kept going non-stop and there were at least 2-3 convos going on at once at one point. It's really hard to keep track with that many people. If I missed you, apologies!
I agree with the others too though; whispering somebody is probably a good way to get their attention. If nothing else, a purple stripe amongst all the green is different enough to make somebody go, 'wait, what?'

Did you SEE gchat yesterday? I'm a speed reader, and I was having a hard time keeping up! I'm sorry that you felt ignored. *gently pats* Just whisper someone next time, and we'll help.

Re: A bit disappointed
I'm more then willing to try again soon.
Thanks guys
I would have posted on the forums but sadly there are times when if I tab out of WoW my computer freaks out, locks up and then I have to shut down my system. I really didn't want to have to go through that.
Thanks again for listening. So greatly appreciated.

Re: A bit disappointed
I always want to try and help and yesterday I was kind of in and out of it. I kept walking away or watching a tv show and getting distracted so I'm sorry. If I would've actually been "there" and saw it.. I would've helped and I agree with above. Sometimes things just get buried in guild chat, we're random and we go on tangents and sometimes things get forgotten. It happens and like Ryno said.. maybe whisper someone.
Though I'm sure we could work a Chromaggus taming expedition maybe once a week until all of the seekers get their prize. Or Maybe designate a tank. I do have my druid, Mewsette on the server now. She's a resto/feral tanking druid. I think she could be of some assistance.
We could run all of the tanks up to Chrom and maybe 2 of them could leave to preserve their lock.. and later on take people to tame him seperately. I went with Ryno to tame one of the bug trio in AQ and I used my lock to help Saon get Huhuran a couple hours later. It seems like a nice method.
