Spectral Griffon type thing? Anyone know??

Hey I saw someone today on a Spectral Griffon while they were in UC (they were riding it on the ground). I asked her and she said it was something to do with a "Build a Friend" that she found from the website. She said that she helped level someone to lvl 20 or something like that and Blizzard gave her that mount.

It was odd, and there wasnt even a mount type of buff on her either.

I think its a glitch perhaps from being dead in the storm peaks or something, and she's just messing around, but then I heard someone else say something about the mount in trade chat too.

ANYONE heard anything of this type of mount? Thanks

Oh yeah it's special alright then. It's special in the way that they're most obviously hacking the game somehow. 'Some Site' and 'Some Friend' probably = hack site, hack code, etc etc. As is there any official word? No. Nothing. Nada.

This just means if you SEE them on a mount, flying or not, report them. :/

Edit: On the other hand if it is a glitch about dying and mounting up with a griff... report them anyways >.>

I think it's a glitch and I wouldn't report them. Glitches arent hacks so there's no need to go bonkers on them.

It's not about going bonkers but the fact they're abusing a glitch for flying when blizzard hasn't allowed us to fly yet..? It's most likely like wall climbing- very frowned upon and usually got people into trouble.

What if they are unable to dismount and were talking to a GM? We dont know that. Now if he was flying around purposely and being flashy, then sure, say something to him FIRST before doing any rash reporting.

I some how doubt you can get it 'accidentally'. Maybe it was accidental when it was first discovered but it really isn't now; the other day I saw several paladins with this and I had no idea wtf was going on.

Then they started to fly and show off in Orgimmar. It was to late tho so I couldn't be bothered to report them, I was pretty much falling asleep as it was.

Mean if you're running around with a spectral griffen with crusader aura on, I doubt the first thing they were doing was chatting with a GM; ESPECIALLY if people are lying about how they got/obtained it.

I saw someone on one of these in Org and when I moused over them, their character buffs didn't say "mounted on X", so I was a bit confused. They were flying too ...

After I saw this I looked it up on the wow forums and ppl are say that there are more bugs like this, apparently if u mount a flying mount in the Netherwing area and get the buff, hearth into Org then remount the same mount anytime after that it, it turns into the Netherdrake, and in Org u can fly

There are a few other glitches like this sense the last patch apparently but they only seem to work in Org

When dead and standing directly in front of the entrance of the Temple of Anh'Quiraj, your ghost can fly. Doesn't apply anywhere else - might be true for all of Ahn'Quiraj but I'm not usre.
