"You sure? I don't have a lot of money...", she said quietly and dug around in her bags, finally pulling out a few golden coins.

Indi held up a hand in Decay's direction. "I refuse to charge friends for my services. I'll repair it for free. You did help save my life after all anyway, so I owe you."

Decay - CotD building

"Th-thanks...", Decay said, and removed her chest armor, revealing the tattered Silver Hand tabard she wore. She handed over the rather heavy plategear to Indi, and sat down next to her. She started talking quietly. "You kinda'... You lost control a bit, there. I was thinking... How are you using the runes? Or are they using you?"

Indi accepted Decay's armor and closed her eyes. "I don't know anymore," she whispered. "After I broke free of the Lich King's grasp, I was never able to master my powers; they've always called to me...and it scares me. It's why I've been living a solitary life for so long, trying to avoid fighting wherever I could--it meant I couldn't hurt myself or people I cared about." She put her hands in her hair, causing her ponytail to fall out in the process. "If I wasn't so weak I could master my powers," she spat, angry at herself. "Instead, when I thought I was going to die, I gave up what little bit of control I had over them and let them take over and consume me."

Decay nodded slowly. "Hmm... I think the problem is deeper than that. Just... Don't let the runes control you, you control the runes! Power is just half of us, that's what the runes provide. Control, that's the other part. We're not complete without both parts.", she said, and looked around, making sure no one else was close enough to hear. "I'm not too good with Blood, but Frost, that's my field. The frozen runes are fairly weak, control is what makes them strong. Controlling the battle, focusing your energies into those who would kill you... Are you aware enough of the Frost to attempt the discipline needed for them with Blood?"

((So yeah, Decay is kinda' a questgiver/DK-trainer. It's in her story.))

Indigosa--CotD Building

Indi eyed the frost rune tattoos on the inside of her left arm--she had tattoos of each of the runes on her body, frost on her left arm, unholy on her right, and blood on her chest over her heart. She had never really thought about gaining control over each of the rune types individually, she just usually charged into battle and hope things went well; she was built to be a tank after all. But...maybe if she learned to gain control...she could be a true tank for her friends--someone they could rely on without having to worry about whether or not she would give into the blood and kill them.

She showed all of her tattoos to Decay. "These were given to me when I joined the Scourge armies after the fall of Silvermoon City. I didn't really understand what they meant back then, only that the blood runes on my chest represented the burden I would carry by facing the front lines...and the temptation. I've never had many dealings with frost and the barest tamperings with unholy...the blood always calls me back to it." She looked the other death knight in the eyes. "If you'd be willing to teach me, I'm more than willing to learn."

"I'm afraid there's not much I can teach you. Experience, expertise, it all comes with action, combat. I could talk for days about the best way to invade Stormwind City with an army comprised of fourteen ghouls and a lich, but that doesn't mean that either of us is likely to succeed. But you have fought with the Frost runes before, yes?"

"If you count minor uses of summoning chains around people's feet and gripping them in a pitiful icy touch, and freezing casters' minds, then yes, I have minor experience with frost," she said with a smirk. "Oh, and I have to combine the powers of frost and unholy to use one of my weapon strikes that helps heal me."

Decay looked down. "Not quite the usage I had in mind, but I suppose it will do. Did you ever notice how your pure Frost attacks all focus on control? You control your opponents speed, what spells they cast. Apply that control to how you draw upon your runes. Take only the energy you need, or you'll be consumed again."

Indi surveyed the building, there was nothing for her to test what Decay was telling her upon. She lay a couple of fingers on one of her frost runes, closing her eyes. She concentrated on what Decay said, only taking the energy needed....When her eyes opened, she launched an icy attack on herself, bowling herself over backwards with a chuckle.

"I think I understand what you mean," she said to Decay with a grin.

Decay smiled a weak smile. "That's good, but a bit unfocused. Just don't hurt yourself trying.", she said with a chuckle.

Indigosa--CotD Building

"Eh, I figured it was better than trying it out on one of you guys," Indi replied with a laugh. "Besides, if I lived through the ordeal we just went through, I think I'd be hard-pressed to kill myself with my own practice."

Regardless of her jesting, she heeded Decay's advice and returned to repairing their armor.

Az and Koz
CotD Building

Azunara, in her feline form, was resting her head on Kozri's knee, nearly falling asleep. The human sighed, shaking his head. Despite exhaustion, he was jumpy after the ambush, twitching at sudden sounds. He grumbled, looking up at the ceiling.

Alarial--CotD Building

"Since we're all at least conscious," Alarial said, "we should probably think about leaving this horrendous place before the others come back or more cultists appear." She stood up and began to gather her things.

Indigosa--CotD Building

Indi, lost in her own thoughts and work, looked up at the priestess and nodded. She finished the last touches on Decay's armor and handed it back to the other death knight. She then began to put her own armor back on, sighing in comfort under its familiarity.

Azu and Kozri
CotD Building

"Good enough," Kozri said, shifting into his draconic form and picking up the cat carefully with a clawed hand. He spread his wings slightly for balance, ready to be moving.

Faron, Gyrocopter

Faron and Vallrok tilter their heads at Saturo. "Don't you ever grumble to yourself after something goes wrong? I admit howling is different, but... Well. I'm stuck in a body that finds howling natural. And growling is a wolf's form of grumbling."

Indigosa--CotD Building

Indi went to the door to the outside of the building and let out a sharp whistle. After a minute Khaz came flying down with a happy squawk, glad to see his mistress still in one piece.


Alarial--CotD Building

Alarial followed Indi and whistled for her mount. Shortly after, her gryphon showed up and she began loading her saddlebags onto her.

Saturo - Gyrocopter

"Nothing goes wrong for me.", Saturo snapped back, and tilted the vehicle slightly downwards.

((Heading to some big cultist place to summon Deathwing. :D Qbout time we got the shattering started. Also, evil team would appreciate more members. Now's probably a good time to add them.))

Nothing was really visible below them, other than that the area was foggy. As they got closer, a building became visible, followed by several more. Saturo pointed. "About time we got some work taken care of."

Decay and Nus - CotD building

Decay nodded a thank you at Indi, and put tue armor back on. She lifted her bags and hng them over one shoulder. She nodded at the battlemage, who had been keeping her distance frm the death knight. "Think you could whip up a portal?"

Faron, Gyrocopter

Faron and Vallrok blinked in surprise, tilting their heads skeptically. "Nothing? Wish I had your luck..." His luck was horrible. Nothing had really gone well so far, not much. He looked down. "This... This could be interesting. How close to complete is the summoning?"

Indi heard Decay ask something about a portal, and she led Khaz into the room. "There's a mage here?" she asked, confusedly. "Man, I must have been out of it for a while."

Alarial--CotD Building

Alarial felt herself blushing. "I completely forgot Nus was here," she said sheepishly. She led her gryphon back into the room as well, hoping the mage would be kind enough to give them a portal to Dalaran.
