monkey pet not getting spirit bond buff from bm tree?

so i tamed the deadmines monkey and when i specced into spirit bond the buff did not display so i tried it on a turtle and the buff displays, after leveling to 30 i got one of the monkeys from stv but still, spirit bond does not work with him, is this a known bug or is there a fix to this?

The deadmines monkeys are very bugged. They do less damage than other pets, they're missing animations, they sometimes revert back to their original mining animation even after dismissing and resummoning and I've even heard of them "forgetting" their specs and levels they've gained. I recommend getting one from STV. They are not bugged.

The Deadmine monkeys also constantly do the mining animation after being tamed.. Combine that with all the other factors and i'd get a monkey from DM only if you have the space in your stable to store him/her away until Blizz fixes them.

lol, called out my monkey, no SB but it gives Ret Aura instead. invited someone to grp, they got the ret aura after joining party.
