Worgen have a unique bird form. While there's no word on why the troll flight form wasn't included in the patch or if it'll be still be a bat come next week, they'll probably have something unique. Hopefully it's getting some last minute love since the bat model is old/bad and no amount of new textures are going to hide that.

And if it's still ugly I do have some lovely flying mounts to help me drawn my sorrow!

It's already been official that trolls ARE getting a bat form. it's on wowhead and on youtube and several of us have beta tested.

I can only assume the new models aren't quite finalized yet, and with a brand new expansion on their plate Blizzard has more pressing matters to deal with than an aesthetic difference. I'm sure the new flight forms will be added in a later patch.

Tbh I don't see why people are still clamoring for the Bat, yes the skin itself is nice. But so far the model is well. Bat. Old world bat. Not been revamped bat. There's been no leaks so far that Blizzard is even in the works of revamping the model, or even going to do so. As well if they revamp the model I am sure alot of us are going to be 'Why no hunter love, QQ' as well as much as I like bats, the model is .. erk.

So yeah as much as people can mock others for freaking out when bird form is replaced to bat form, they kinda have a right if bat form isn't being upgraded to the same quality model as tauren, nelf and worgen flight.

Darkspear trolls are often found in the company of reptiles. Their mount are raptors, they sell snakes as pets, and their shadow hunters summon cobras. According to Seer Janidi in Zabra'jin (who gives the quest Spirits of the Feralfen), the Darkspear consider the serpent to be a powerful spirit, but they disdain bird spirits as "weak, capricious, and best left to the Amani".

Thus why they require bat forms. they'd NEVER take the form of a bird, by lore. That is why it's a big deal and people are pissed they don't have their bat forms yet, as promised. Plus Blizzard made in-game models for them already. As Veph said previously, they probably aren't 100% done with them yet. So to correct you....people arent pissed about the models. They're pissed because it goes against the troll lore of the Darkspears that they've had for as long as we can remember.

Dear I think you should re-read my post again before you go about throwing lore quotes at me. I never said anything about lore. I never mentioned lore. I never brought it up. I was talking, specifically, about the models and how everyone wants the model now now now- when the model you would be getting would be a half assed attempt and you would then be crying 'why does bat form suck!?' when flight form has so much more pixels.

Which leads me to the fact that I would understand people crying when they lost the GOOD flight form for a crappy reskin of a bad model. Understand now? >.>

I certainly have no problem with the bat form that was previewed. I loved it! Not saying I would refuse a bit of a revamped bat model, but honestly it looked great.

So to correct you....people arent pissed about the models. They're pissed because it goes against the troll lore of the Darkspears that they've had for as long as we can remember.

We were shown a shiny object and Blizzard did not deliver it the date it was promised so we're forced to deal with a lore-breaking form. Get it? Lore is involved....a huge chunk of it. And the model wasn't crappy, not the ones we saw. It had nothing but positive feedback.

I agree with Veph. I loved what I saw as well. A revamp? Sure, I'm cool with it if we get one, but honestly, it's not necessary cause I liked what I saw the first time.

(Also, I love the old-world bats, especially the white one. Just for the record. )
