Bugged cast bar when tame?

When I tested my macros for speed-taming:
/use Potion of Speed
/use 13
/cast Deterrance
/cast Tame Beast
All this give me 68% haste but I discoverd the cast bar and the buff show 12 sec instead of 6 sec. The actual tame is shorter, probably around what should be.
With haste only from gear (1200) and without potion and trinket the cast bar is correct and show 8 sec.
Anybody else having similar issues and any confirmation that its only the cast bar showing wrong or the actual tame is in fact longer?

mine was like that when i used ancient hysteria to tame King Mosh and Chromaggus. the cast bar seemed to be around 12 secs, but the tame finished halfway thru. most likely the cast bar isnt able to calculate the extra haste.

Yeah a lot of people have mentioned this. I didn't notice on the few tames where I used extra haste buffs, but I know that the haste does affect Tame Beast even though the cast bar doesn't reflect it so... sounds like a bug with the cast bar.

Not to be nit-picky, but Tame Beast overrides the Deterrence buff.

In other words... Deterrence doesn't help you at all in that macro.

Did they change it with the patch? I know deterrence stayed up during the initial part of tame beast before the patch and I could have sworn it worked when I tamed Kri (but I was stressed and overwhelmed as that stupid blue bug kept chain fearing and the pink one kept storming around and knocking us all back so... don't take my word for it.)

i had the same thing happen when i went to tame chrommy. I popped, haste buff, trinket i had, and elixer and it still had normal timer but finished half way through, maybe they will fix it

I did testing too. I went to solo tame a Blue Dragonhawk and had Deterrence in my macro just like the above macro... I got into position and hit the macro... saw Deterrence go off and as soon as Tame Beast started I was getting hit for damage a split second later when the Dragonhawk's buddies started wailing on me.

The five second duration of Deterrence didn't last five seconds through my taming... considering my Tame Beast cast time was about 4-5sec long... and right when the pet was tamed a second or so later I died. I should have made it through the entire tame without getting hit at all, and since the Dragonhawk was ice trapped it wasn't the one pounding on me.

So either my tame of the Blue Dragonhawk was bugged, or somehow Deterrence was dispelled... or Deterrence just doesn't work very well with Tame Beast. I would normally say that I was excited and I just didn't notice Deterrence working, but my eyes were glued to three different things at once... my health, the Tame Beast cast bar, and the onslaught of mobs coming my way, so me seeing the cast bar get closer to ending while my health dropped fast... I would have to say that Deterrence didn't work for me.

Just tamed chromagus using this macro, tame was like 6-7 sec with haste 68% (around 2.3k), deterrance was up 5 sec and seems to work fine when i check the combat log and he hit me only twice, may be i lost 500 hp only.
A question: How you've seen deterrance to fade and the starting tame, for me they start together?

In short, a ton of haste will make Tame Beast's cast bar act in funny ways. It isn't broken, your actual tame is still faster, and more haste always makes your tame faster. As for Deterrence, it is useless for taming. Deterrence makes you parry all spells and attacks, but Tame Beast is a channeled spell, and no player can parry while channeling. Sorry, just a fact of the WoW combat system.
