I have a female blood elf hunter with red hair and I thought it would be cute to have the pink Tallstrider. Until I learned about the turquoise one in Darkshore. I made the trip (it was long) tamed the Clutchmother (it was hard, she kept knocking me down) and now that I have this bright turquoise bird I'm thinking I kinda like the pink one. There is something endearing about a pink lawn ornament defending you and kicking the butt of much uglier beasts. But the blue one is a little more impressive since I'm Horde and I had to get it from Alliance territory.

What's a girl to do?

Bear in mind that after Cata, the Clutchmother might well be gone from the game as Darkshore gets overhauled. Mulgore looks to be one of the more stable places after the patch as of yet, Mazz probably isn't going anywhere.

Just my personal opinion but I've always thought the turquoise one was neater. I always wanted to get it and name it Porkchop, but never got around to it. That and like others have said, she may be gone when 4.0 hits, you never know.

I know it's a strain on your stable,but why not get both? That way you can try them both out and see which one looks better
next to you. Either way,you can't lose...they're so dang cute!!

Yeah, I'd have to agree with Kitairra, and tame Mazz and try them both out, to see which you prefer.

I voted pink, though, because I think it would work well with a fem belf with red hair. May be a little biased, also, because a friend of mine uses the pink one A LOT, and it's kind of grown on me. Plus you can get the mini pet to match!

Wow guys, thanks so much for the info. I didn't know about Cataclysm, especially about Darkshore. That is some good info, and I think you're right - hang on to the blue. Though the idea of keeping both is very appealing.

Jakkra - Yes, the pink does look nice with her complexion and hair. Gawd, I'm too girly - my pets have to match my hair/outfit.

Speaking of matching - where do you get the matching companion? Who sells those?

The matching companion is bought with Champion Seals- all Argent Tournament stuff up in Northrend. However, they're bind on equip, so someone can buy it for you, or you might find one on your auction house. Mind you, it'll probably be around 150g +

Hey Andiama, I have to say, overall I agree with the previous posters, pink is probably a better "match" for your char, but the Clutchmother may disappear, so I'd say just get both and see, however the point about the minipet is certainly valid
I do however have another suggestion depending on your level, if you are over lvl 70, how about the bright purple one from Terokkar Forest, I have to say I see him well...never tbh and so it's certainly another option

I doubt Clutchmother will disapear seeing as shes the only one with that skinn, Blizzard knows better than that. i hope.
