Bullmastiff's in Western Plaguelands (Fox in mouth)

Unread post by UltraFictiOn420 »

I have randomly asked in the forums recently regarding the Bullmastiff's (http://www.wowhead.com/npc=44476#drops) that carry around those dead foxes in their mouths, and wondered if you could tame them like that???

The Bullmastiff will catch the fox and hold it for around 10 seconds-ish. I just thought that the same rules would apply for a tame of this guy as the recent unique skin tames within the last couple days.
I just REALLY REALLY suck at trying to figure out these tames, lol. Looking for the community for support.

P.S. Griffley is the man!!!

That screenshot is hilarious. It's not even in it's mouth... just wearing it as a little fox hat.

LoL... That's cuz it's WoWhead's screeny. I didn't nab one yet. But the actual Bullmastiff's have them in their mouth.

Hilarious indeed, I went to check them out but when I got there i noticed they were Alliance, so a horde will have to take a look.

It's too complicated for me to figure out.

1) The foxes only stay in the Mastiff's mouth for around 10 seconds.
2) The Mastiff's have low HP's.
3) You have to wait till the Mastiff catches a fox.
4) You have to be ready to do the process when the Mastiff DOES catch a fox.

....UGH

I tried them, several times with successful timing (requiring a RESTART to summon). Not once could I get it to keep the fox. Much like the infested bears and their eggs, the fox is a separate creature that seems to "jump out" of the dogs mouth and despawn when the dog is killed or tamed.

Edit: I hate my phone and it's auto-correct sometimes. But it makes for some funny word replacements.
