ARAGA SURVIVED

Unread post by Evandelle »

So out of curiousity I mailed a GM tonight about Araga, saying that I knew she existed before the shattering, and if they could tell me if she still existed post shattering...and the answer, in exact words was:

Yes! The lioness did indeed survive the shattering! Did she hide in a cave? In a nearby motel 6? Who knows?! But Araga mst definetly survived!

That was the exact response I got back from them, and I could not be happier...I decided to post it here, to A) Confirm she does still exist, and B) Enlist your guys' help! Now that we know she's still alive, help me scout our the nearby areas, so we can find her again!!

She might have been mentioning that Araga still survived, or he might have, either way, survived because hunters had tamed her. Where Araga usually spawns there was heavy, heavy revamping. And no one ever saw her on the beta- as no one ever saw Timber. And Timber had an even smaller respawn timer than Araga. Yes there have been false alarms but these haven't been visuals by people but by NPCscan/Silverdragon.

The other bad news is that since Hillsbrad has been revamped along with everything else, it is most likely a high traffic zone, ergo, Araga most likely is, if she is still in the wild, being smished before we're seeing her.

Considering what the GM said... I would start looking in caves and Motel 6s.

I need more hunters, IMO.

I did run around for a long while in and out of caves in both Alterac Mountains and Hillsbrad, and nothing popped up, but I remember her godawful spawn timer, so she could just not have been there at the time....It is now my mission to find the missing Araga. :P

Alot of us in BETA was not just looking for Araga we made /tar macros of all the Alterac rares with no luck. Like Broken Tooth and OJC I think Blizzard forgot to put back in rares in certain areas. Maybe they will fix that in a patch but I know that Araga and the Badlands missing was posted all over BETA forums.

That's a little rude to say. Araga was special to some people. :/

Either way, the title should be changed because there's no evidence of Araga ACTUALLY found anywhere.

I think all the pets have the potential to be special to somebody--I don't personally like bears or pigs. But, I see some awesome hunters with both and they look just right. To each his/her own--me? Give me more cats, always. Some people hate 'em. Viva la difference....

This might open some answers, if it's true that is.. Haven't gone to check the place yet. What a shame to make a beautiful rare step down to the world of the commons!

We've known about those mobs for months. >_>

It's entirely possible that she IS hiding in a cave somewhere, kind of like Duskfang. Wouldn't be the first time a rare spawn made a cave their home. It's a bit strange that she wouldn't've been found on beta, though.

If we're getting NPCscan alarms but no sightings and her old zone was heavily revamped, this makes me worried that she's spawning somewhere inside/underneath terrain.

Is it possible that Araga was moved from that area entirely and placed with the other plains prowlers?
It certainly seemed that, in her previous location, she was the leader of the nearby mountain lions.

EDIT: Also, while her skin may be unimpressive to some, Araga happens to be my favorite in-game cat. :O
Haters gonna hate.

Non Vanilla Hunters don't understand the history of certain rares and beasts. Araga has earn her reverence just like all fast attack speed or pursuit pets. She even looked alot better with the stripes on the tail.
