These are both mid tame shots purely as they're what I submitted for WoWhead.

Clocked via NPC Scan hax through door yesterday around half past 3pm my time which led me to screw up getting through said door but hey. This was on Day 5 of my sainty crumbling from non stop Deadmines. I've named mine Glory.



Wierdly AGAIN clocked through the door by NPC Scan and I didn't screw said door up this time but gleed upstairs. Happened around 4:37pm of Day 6 of my endless DM runs. I only started running in the afternoon I was finishing watching a SHOUTcraft and was my fourth attempt for today. I've named him Skye.



Bear in mind I was also mad farming UBRS/Scholo for Wildheart pieces prior to the Shattering and quickly leveling my highest Hunter Mitsuko to 52 to snatch Olm that Tuesday before kaslpodie. Then after that, new pet tames/relocating alts then Pilgrim and have been in DM since late Saturday evening (Exception being Nefarian for Ryai's Chroma) so I have literally done nothing else for quite a while now.

Maybe I can actually play WoW again, now there's a bizzare thought D:

I just ran deadmines another 10 times, and AGAIN the albino pops--the one I DO NOT want. Well, ok want him--he is sitting in my stable. But I want the big mini-wing dang it! Grats on them both. *slinks away to soak feet caused by rough ground in deadmines*

If 5/6 days straight farming is any indication and RNG hates you (Which it really does me), pretty damn crap. They ARE there just a case of bribing them out :<

But, there really isn't much I can do. Well, if you're STILL running this dang place by the time I'm done with finals (last one is on Wednesday), then I guess I could roll a DK over on Shandris as long as you're on the US server, and try to pitch in on the effort.

@Ariamodasu: I tried bribing, locking in a tiger cage, pleading, mauling, even throwing in water, but High Priest Thekal utterly refused to give me his cursed fist weapon! Good luck bribing a parrot to appear.

Ha, I wanted the giant mace from Bat Lady as I had it back in Vanilla but vendored it years ago (WHY), I never saw it ever again. Hell never saw the mounts either, or won an event mount... Then there's the whole Baron thing and Anzu is also stubborn.

RNG has long made it clear it does not like this cow Druid I'm just glad the parrots showed before my brain snapped. It would have been a week farming this evening which is a frightening thought.

If it's any consolation, you haven't surpassed my stupidity. The Fiery War Axe dropped for Cialbi from some ooze in Dustwallow Marsh while leveling. Not only did I equip it, but I later sold it to a vendor.

I wonder if pleading, bribing, extorting, blackmailing, and/or torturing Greatfather Winter will lead to Cialbi getting Thekal's Grasp this Winter's Veil...

@ Cialbi Haha i been running all day today and no bird not even 1 of those 2 rares i want both i cannot believe it won,t friggin spawn at this rate I haven't heard or seen any1 with these Rare dead mines birds yet!!!

I wonder if I should say that the first, *very* first, time I ran the Deadmines instance the Miniwing was there. I didn't even realize it was a rare spawn until I happened to look here! ... then again, of *course* it showed up for me; I have no desire for any of the parrots. My Dai is all the BoP I need.

I farmed the green slimes in western plague lands for 4 days non-stop until I got a oozling pet.

The moral?

Keep trying until you get it. :)

You'll get it sooner or later.

In my case if I get lucky it'll happen right away* but if I'm unlucky then I'm REALLY unlucky**. In the case of the rare Deadmines birds I got lucky. The Albino Eyegouger (Ædriel) was the second closest bird in the room on my second run. I actually prefer the red, but Marel's got the white thing going on.

* = 1st blue whelp after half an hour, 2nd half a lap later; 1st green whelp after 20 minutes, 2nd 15 drops later; 1st black whelp on the 4th drop, 2nd after 15 minutes 2 weeks later, 3rd after 10 minutes three months later after my husband told me he had SOLD the first black whelp... urgh; blue proto-drake on very first time through UK; Time-Lost Proto-Drake after 3 weeks; ZG Tiger and Raptor drop on the same day (I was running my husband's main so they went to him).
** = Farmed for the red whelp for 4 years and NEVER saw it drop; randoms won't even put my main in Occulus so I can't try for the blue dragon; I've never seen the Battered Hilt drop and never saw it in AH; never once saw the Razzashi Hatchling drop; finally got the green proto-drake a couple of months ago and oh by the way I hate Geen; can't get into a pug competent enough to help me with the last three dungeon achievements for the red proto-drake and the guild ignores me when I ask; I can't convince Publishers Clearing House to come visit my door...

I think its when you dont really care if you get one or the other or really at all.. Inaric my other hunter, got the brilliant macaw on the 7th run, after I said this is my last run, dont care if its there or not ill just tame the other birds and see if they fit. So after trying the red one, and going for ole beaky I noticed the name Brilliant Macaw as a dot.. and flying around like nothing.

So I think its when you say NO MORE that they pop... possibly they spawn at thep lace you left your sanity
