Four hours after release, Terrorpene was mine. Still dubbing between Bowser or KingKoopa for a name. Thanks to Pallypete and Raphaelon, my guild buddies who proved it is much more fun to level in dungeons right now then attempt to kill quest mobs with many many enemies :D

Oh wow! o_o Congrats!!!

Any tips for getting him at 81? :D He's going to be my first tame....and I fear I might be by myself at the time. x)

I used all the buffs I could get. In the excitement I forgot to equip my haste reforged PVP gear, so I did it in my mostly 264 set and the following buffs: Drums of Forgotten Kings, Imperial Manta Steak, Major Fire Protection Potion, Runescroll of Fortitude, Potion of Speed. Further I cast Ancient Hysteria with a Core Hound I abandoned right away, cast the speed buff of my engineering glove enchants, popped Deterrence and finally Tame Beast.

He did his channel twice on me for a total of 30k exactly and never hit me any other way.
Thanks for the congrats peeps. This was the most important Cata beast for me and I can now resume the levelling fun :mrgreen:

I'm confused. It's not midnight Server yet, so how did you tame an 81 elite already? Or do digital downloads give people an edge to play early?

I tamed him on Aszune, European server minutes before 4 am.

I found mine here. Following his patrol I determined it paths the crescent moon like lowest "terrace"on the east side.
