I think I know what they did here, I remember seeing it done when BC came out. I am going to take a guess on what they do is have one player by himself run around and tag 30-40 mobs, then there is a big group of maybe 15-20 other players that go on and kill them all, thus giving the one player all the EXP.

This isn't really a achievement this way (if it was done this way), its just a exploit IMO

Well, I am leveling a tauren hunter right now.
As soon as someone helps you kill a mob, in group or not, your EXP are reduced!
In my case, I only got about 30% of the EXP I got when I soloed a mob.

You really need a lot of good friends to help you pull that off.

I only wonder why they spoil their fun for that?

Moon guard has the first lvl 85, it was a druid.

We've had rogue, hunter, DK, and shaman as well...and guess what? All from the same guild. -.-; People are pissed.

Sounds like they dungeon grinded like mad... but eh what can you do. I saw threads on MMO-champion where people were actually plotting to drink unhealthy crap to give them energy boosts so they could stay up 30 hours if need be.

That's just disgusting and wrong on many levels. Seriously......the realm firsts arent worth your health. ><;

My bf and I are pulling all-nighters but have no intent to be 85 just yet. We want to look and feel and play, not race to 85 then wait for everyone to catch up.

Some people act ridiculously when it comes to achievements. It's just a game, enjoy it. /sigh. Oh well, there will always be those people.

Some people are achiev whores, thats fun to them. They do it on xbox live too. I couldnt care less about that stuff though, I am all about some storyline.

Wanna know what's funny? The guy did the same thing in Wrath, he hit 80 in a short amount of time... With the exception he cheated. I believe Blizzard stripped him of gear, achievement, booted his toon back to 70 and gave him a suspension.

It usually takes about 18 hours if you play straight... 5 hours just doesn't seem right to me. I would almost put money on the table that Blizzard might do the same as they did before and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he did, what I believe it's called, mob-tagging in instances.

Plus, EU got a 9 hour head start. X( My servers first 85's starting popping up about 15 or so hours after release. I remember a Druid getting banned for mob-tagging back in Wrath after getting the server first 80.

He flew to twilight highlands and just sat there tagging nagas (with a really high respawn rating) for 5 hours while others killed them. Wouldn't have thought that they'd give that much experience, but I guess they do...

doing the math, he would have to tag/kill roughly between 4000-5000 mobs per level (per hour) to get from 80-85. XD

Speaking of realm first 85s, I was online for the last 6 on Trollbane: Shaman, Mage, Warrior, Druid, Hunter, Rogue. That leaves Paladin, Priest, Warlock, and Death Knight somewhere out there, probably before.

I don't have a chance to test it out myself, but on MMO champion the guy's video of who hit it first said that BOA's work until lvl 81. Anyone know if this is true or not?

The guy who tagged things then got his guild to kill him so he could lvl to 85 1st got banned, I think it was on MMO-Champion.
