Got a ticket responce on if we can keep apperance buff pets.

Hi, long time lurker, first time poster.

I opened a ticket for a) to insure I wouldn't get banned for exploiting and b) try and make sure I won't lose my lovelies on my favorite alt and former main. Here's the responce I got.

Yea, I wasn't online when he responded ( passed out due to nonstop leveling grind on my main ) but from what I read of that response ( unless I'm stupid ) it's perfectly fine for non dmg buff ones! With that noted I'm now going on a taming spree on my second hunter (worgen named Jacob) to get him as many lovelies as possible before they fix this!

U tamed a few pixels in a game , be banned for this ...let me laugh ( so Blizz would ban few hundred of hunters ? ) BAH

I tamed Grimtotem spirit guide 2 years ago , thats a bug exploit too... what did Blizzard ? they let us expetionnaly that tame and said congratulations !

That's quite true, but at this stage my gut feeling about it is that so many different hunters have been in touch with GMs that at this point I think whatever they do, Blizzard is very unlikely to punish players for this, at least as long as they're not using dmg buffs; they might still summarily remove all appearance buffs, no clue on that, but as far as punishment goes... it doesn't seem likely - they know it would be a PR disaster to issue mass bans and have angry players banding together waving GM signed "waivers" for the press to write articles about - no matter that technically Blizzard would be within their rights to do so.

Not 100% certain of course, and yeah "it ain't over till it's over", so your advice remains the safest bottom line, but that's my sense at this point.

I'm just worried about keeping my pets, then getting banned later over it...but if I get rid of them and they issue bans wouldn't I be caught up just because I had done it? Meh, either way I talked to a GM to feel reassured, not sure how I feel now tho.

Yea, I'm going to keep it incase something happens and I do...do you think it'd be permenant? I'd prolly cry, I have TCG mounts and pets on my DK. <.< Did they ever get back to you on it?

No offense meant but I think this was a waste of a GM's time. Honestly I wouldn't see a ban happening, if anything the pet will be returned to normal and all buffs removed. GM's have nothing to do with these decisions and as already stated they have no clue what the Dev teams are or are not going to do.

I have a bit of fear of being punished, but I can't see a ban being permanent, first off; second, even if they did, it'd be because I discovered and posted about it, not because I tamed it.

And I don't see why you would be banned. All pets- outside of the dmg buffed pets which by all rights all/most of us ARE avoiding; are no different than as someone said the Grimtotem Spirit Guide and the Oil Wolf. Why is that you or others may ask?

Because to obtain the animals you have to basically do the same thing as you would for Oil Wolf. And Oil Wolf is basically known about by Blizzard now, it has to be. There's no way they don't know about it. I mean Rosalyn got it first try with the abandon script when it was causing grief to do it the .. what more non exploity way?

Also, just, people as has been said before please STOP ticketing the GM's- they are not Devs/blizzard ultimately they have NO SAY in how the game develops or how your case gets handled. Ultimately this is up for blizzard.

But I mean we have our own lurker as I've said before so surely this isn't as under cover as people expect/want/hope/etc.
