I'm a dragon

Unread post by erwil »

Well, not just yet. :D

I was wondering how many of you guys are going for the Vial of the Sands grind? Or have you seen someone with the mount already? :D

There's very little info on mmo or any of the other sites that I've been looking at (drop rates of the mats, etc), but the pattern is a discovery from Archaeology, apparently not guaranteed drop, from the Canopic Jar.

I've gathered most of the mats already, and I'm very close to the 29k gold needed for the vendor items (I'm not planning to buy them until I've got the pattern). The only thing I'm really missing now, is truegold and the recipe itself.

With the truegold mats, the only volatile I've found extremely tedious to find, is volatile air. The expansion has only just kicked off, so AH prices are sky high. :( Have you guys discovered a place where the drop rate would be reasonable? Vortex Pinnacle seems to have a very good drop rate for it, but you will be competing with 4 other people.

Fire was probably the easiest to gather up, because you can fish it up in Twilight Highlands and it has got a pretty good drop rate from mine nodes. :) With Pyrite, I'd suggest late night grinds in Uldum and Twilight Highlands.

I'd also be very interested to know what kind of emotes (animations) we can use in the form. o.o I mean, speaking, lying down, sitting down, etc.

I generally get my air from the elementals in Uldum, just west of Ramkahen (I don't remember the city, but it's where the big sandstorm is). Also, Twilight Highlands is supposed to be alright.

I can actually get Volatile Air from mining thanks to a nifty little Eng device I made. It actually comes in great handy when I farm the crap out of Twilight Highlands while camping Karoma.

Dear lord, it's my Mechano-Hog grind all over again. XD

NEW SIGNATURE PENDING... SOON.

xD haha. I'm currently thinking about leveling either a gathering profession for my rogue (who's an engineer) or leveling engineering for my hunter (who's a miner).

Right now neither of the options seem awfully appealing. xD What kind of average drop rate does the volatile air have with the device?

I never actually got the hog on any of my toons. o.o

Give me a heart attack. I'm thinking "What??? Already? /jealous /Dies"

I'm working on it, the only thing I'm going to have a problem with is the gold requirements. Other then that I've already started crafting the other stuff needed.

I lucky to get the Moto-hog for my birthday, so I never had to work for the mats.

:D Congrats! I wonder if I could beg for a Christmas present in the form of 4k gold and some volatile air.. xD

I got quite a bit of gold out of selling potions, herbs, ores or bars. But even with 80-85 questing only, nets you around 5k gold per character, if you sell the greens as well. You'd probably make even more by disenchanting them and selling the shards and dust. :D I've got no patience to play auction house, so I gather instead to make money. I'm also pretty bad with gold (I like to spend it on RP stuff or other silly nonsense) if it sits on my main, so I've sent it all to my lvl 30 warlock, which I never play but don't have the heart to delete. xD
