A new obsession (The Madexx-thread!)

hes next on my list anybody have a map of his spawn points?

From what I know he only spawns in the Sahket wastes, I'm not sure if he has a specific spawn point or multiple within that area.

I've found him at two different spots, one northwest and one northeast in the Sahket wastes.

I can verify one spawn location for sure.

If you go to those little ruins North of the Obelisk of the Moon, look for a buried statue with a bird head. Directly Northwest of that is a slightly raised plateau thing that almost resembles a boot or a sock with its toe pointing south. He spawns right on that piece.

I found him today on a hunch. ^^ Had that nagging feeling that a rare was up, so I logged in and looked at the spawn point I mentioned above. Sure enough, there he was. It was his blue form, and while that was my secondary choice for colour, I think I might keep this one permanently as I've fallen in love with how beautiful it is.

He looks like a night sky, so I named him Almagest (slightly obscure reference, but cookies to those who get it).

Beautiful tames! Hoping to get Madexx sooner or later. He was just tamed by an orc hunter, who kindly gave me the place and time he tamed him at, so now it's a waiting game. I don't really know what color I want, though the black one is really nice looking, so I guess I will settle with whatever one spawns for me. Hopefully I don't have to wait TOO long.


Guess it is bed time for me for a little bit. Missed Ghostcrawler by half a second (literally), so I know when he was tamed as well... maybe I'll log out in Abyssal Depths so I can find him again...

I got the black version today, was looking for the red, as I adore the color scheme he has, but since I am not sure if I will ever see him again or anytime in the near future, I tamed him. He was at the usual place, above the Obelisk of the Moon. The black has a pretty cool color theme, but I'm a little bummed it wasn't the red that popped. Gorgeous model.

I'm camping Madexx as we speak, tabbing over to Petopia between rounds.

I honestly don't mind which color spawns for me... they're all stunning.

Found him to the south of the wastes, I did a fly over a couple of minutes before and he wasn't there so I think he probably spawns to the south too.

I got him!!

After a 6-hour camp he spawned on top of me and killed me while I was alt+tabbed on petopia (I BLAME YOU ALL). xD
I frantically ran back to my corpse, froze his punk ass, and tamed him! I'm still a little shaky. Madexx is probably my favorite new Cata model and I'm very stoked to have him.

I would have been happy with any of the colors, as I said before. I got the black and red model, which I love. Very Horde-like. I named him Rakhet, just because it looks Egyptian-ish and sounds like "racket," since he's so chattery. I found him at his northern spawn point, the one that Veph described, at around 10:40am server.

Here's a quick screenie. Rakhet waved just as I snapped it. ^.^


EDIT: You can't tell from the picture but this model has very stunning bright yellow eyes. I may take another screenie a bit later.

Well i have been camping that stupid desert for ages it seems now,havent even seen his corpse

I've been 'casually' camping this guy on and off the past few days. My dilemma: We just had a server restart. :\ Does anyone know if server restarts (the 15 minute kind) interrupt a spawn cycle/reset spawn timers?

I just tamed Madexx at 805pm server time a little lower than the northern spawn point. I had left my hunter at the spawn point and went to have dinner. I logged back on flew to pick an herb and NPC scanner flashed. An ally pally saw him and ran over to him before I could get there. I'm on a PVE server so I couldn't do anything but try to tame him while the pally was trying to kill him. Thank god for that venom he sprays, the ally died and I was able to get him. Still shaking from almost losing him. He spawned in that nice blue color too, just the one I wanted
