Friend just tamed Sambas...need help on when to start..

My friend literally got Sambas at 6:05 AM Eastern Time this morning, so I'm wondering when I should start camping him. Anyone? 1PM?

I would figure he would be on more of a 12 hour type respawn time putting him around 6:05 pm? D: You'd just have to find out the respawn time and then do the math

Yeah I hear 6-24 hours sO I'm just going to camp now until tomorrow. I know four people who got him at this spot already.

I tamed him on monday just northwest of Thundermar at the coordinates: 42.4, 39.1 at 5:07a,
server time. The coordinates on WoWhead seem to be accurate for this guy :3

I just spent forever camping him because I knew the spawntime (12:50am). I started seriously camping at the 6hr mark. At the 8hr mark our servers went down for rolling restarts. Continued flying over his spawns until the 12hr mark (regularly had another hunter with me covering the same path coming from the opposite direction so we had almost every spawn covered in half the time). Also did the 6 and 8 and 12 hour marks on the 8am rolling restart (just finished checking the 24 hour mark on the rolling restart) also did the 24 hour mark on the 12:50am tame. Nada. Must have missed him at some point. So be vigilant and good luck, I wish you all the best, this lion still eludes me.

Can you confirm with absolute certainty though it's 24 hours? Here's why I'm questioning you...I know 12 hunters who have him already and that's just Alliance. Now the xpac has only been out for 9 days and the first 85 hunter didn't ding until Wednesday shortly followed by me...so 12 alliance side tames in 8 days kills the once a day theory. I've seen 2 horde toons running around with him as well so at minimum 14 people have him.

One thing going for me is no rolling restate and I'm only sticking to one spawn spot because I missed him by mere seconds due to flying around.

So doing some simple math and division, it could seem Sambas has a 7-13 hour respawn timer, meaning he could spawn twice in a day, to 3 times in a day, give or take. Which is actually better than I was hoping for tbh

Yeah but the big issue is which spot, I'm not leaving mine. There are conspiracy theorists out there who think if a rare is tamed at a particular point he will respawn there again
