Apparent BUG with my new and now INDEF stabled GC

Wondering if anyone else has had this issue ever.

Tamed Ghostcrawler after spending 2 days underwater and happy to have the last of all my spirit beasts. So there one glitch... he fails to stack ANY er stacks of Frenzy at all?! Like, never gains the buff. Things I have done to fix:

1) Respec pet=fail
2) Respec ME=fail
3) Kill "Greg"=fail
4) Open Ticket and ask GM sounds like it'll work?
a. GM one random delete ur WTF and your issue thing response=fail
*escalated
b. GM two took my toon for 45 minutes playing IN-game with it and couldn't fix it=fail
*escalated
c. Sen TECH GM took my toon for another 45 minutes finally giving up and related his frustration at it but said it was a DEV (Bug ppl) team issue and was forwarded and they will look into it but to not expect a personal response and that I could always attempt to re-tame another one (really? seriously? er wow :/ )
5) GC sits in stable collecting bedbugs from the other pets PERMA INDEF until fixed

Anyone else have this issue with a pet ever? I have played a hunter for a long time and aside from a Grubthor issue with NOT burrowing when he er burrows have never have any issue not solvable.

-and no all my other pets gain it which makes it very odd.
-and had 2 other hunters with GC at the sme dummy and both thought it odd mine wasn't working while theirs was.

*Also brought up the BROKEN Cog Cogwheel thing for us ENG EPIC craft hatters (you can't get it cause the purshasing recipe was removed pre-beta). Reply was that it is known and being worked on... since last July it's been known :(

Thanks for any info before I release this apparent bugged pet back into the wild via the short yellow bus

Aren't the cogwheel recipies on the vendors in TH now?

Yes, but the crit cog is completely unavailable because the item required to make it cannot be crafted.

And why can't they make a simple hotfix for that? Sigh.. Just assign another purchasing item.

So we use hit or haste and mastery for now?

Pretty much. I've gone with haste and mastery myself, since I'm almost entirely hit-capped from gear. :D

I tamed GC last night and he's stacking frenzy just fine. SS for proofs.

Yes, sorry for the massive derailing. >_<

The new engineering helms have a meta gem socket and two "cogwheel" socket. You can only put cogwheels into those sockets, not regular gems. Cogwheels are, as Slick said, engineering-only "gems" that go in these special sockets. They only cover secondary stats (so you can't get an agility one, for example) and are unique-equipped. Their great appeal is that they're a MASSIVE amount of the designated stat; I currently have my helm cogwheeled for 208 haste and 208 mastery. Cogwheels are purchasable from the engineering vendor in your faction's starting base in Twilight Highlands. The currency used is various engineering items (for example, the expertise cog is purchased with the craftable tackle box).

Same Frenzy bug is affecting me now also. Unfortunatly its on multiple pets and it varies depending on primary or secondary spec.

So far King Dred, Numaroc, and Lord Kri are affected, acutally after Lord Kir wouldnt work with either spec I gave up testing and started posting bug reports and searching forums.

Not even sure what this thread is about anymore... but I saw Grubthor's burrowing mentioned by the OP, so I'll chime in.

I tamed Grubthor the day of Cata release, and he did his exotic special burrowing attack just fine. Some time since then, it doesn't work anymore. When I click the button, he just stops attacking & stands there... losing aggro back to me. If anyone gets any useful info back from a GM (heh, look at what I said) about this, please let us know.

lol ur pretty much on topic, its about pets frenzy not stacking or them not borrowing and loosing aggro..

i havent check on my GC yet but now i will have to go kill some stuff and see, i havent really been paying attention though. Ill be sure to use my GC and see if it happens or not.


i actully have issues soe time with my pets who are on defensive, act like they are on passinve >.<

I don't have any problems with my pets and I have all the new rares save for Jadefang and Madexx.

I'm duel spec'd but never use my secondary spec, don't even have talents points placed in it.

I'm wondering if the pets that are broken are the pets people had out when they switched specs?

Currently this has affected King Dred, Lord Kri and Numaroc. I only tested about 10 pets in my stable since I am now worried removing or retraining them is what is causing the issue.

Talked to a GM and nothing...

Well all is well that started er... screwed up. After over an hour on my toon a GM tech did something and after he told me to relog on my toon my Ghostcrawler began stacking "frenzy" again! Way happy about not having to either re-tame or just forget the mob. And as today was my B-Day I had spent the last cpl days pulling all nighter "look-a-thons" for Sambas and got him this morning at 0830 <Gorefiend> . So all my spirit beasts are done, Terrorpene, Numeroc, Oil Staned-wolf, Winna's, the new Ravager modeland Chromaggus. Might LF jade but now time to grind rep.

As for the HAT. It's been skewed since JULY Beta time and have no clue why the recipe hasn't been fixed or replaced as our META gem is crapped out as well. So Ill make it and sit on it and see what happens since I'de only want the 200+x2 crit cogs anyway.

You can't stack two of any type of cog, btw; they're unique-equipped.

So apparently I figured out the fix. It was so simple it's kind of funny. Looks like the old pet spellbook bug is back except it turns off your focus dump attack (Bite/Claw). If you go back in your spellbook and turn it back on you should be fine. Glad to know its not permanent and it probably happened when I redid all my pet's talents.
