Jadefang Q's

Hey-low. Basic question,

I hear that Jadefang can only be accesses with a specific daily quest or something.... Could anyone elaborate? Alas I'm still only lvl 82 due to heavy unsuccessful TLPD camping, but I really think this lil' bugger is quite the cutsie pet that my goblin has been looking for

Main question I think is "how does one access Jadefang?"

I haven't tested this yet but I think there's a way for hunters to get up there without the daily.

This is how I plan to test it: Dismiss pet. Run up to where you recuse pebbles, but along the way aggro one of the borers. Stand at the edge with your back facing Jadefang's cave. The borer has a special ability that shoots a rock spike out of the ground that'll launch you into the air. When you get high enough hit disengage.

That first plateau they blew themselves up on is where you save pebbles. You don't need to use the bomb to get up there. There's a tunnel to the right of it, take it and it'll hook around to the left and the first tunnel on your left is the one where pebbles is, ie, where they blew up to.

Ghost back to your body and rez on the ledge above you, poof, your there! Got my shale hatchling pet, now I just need to go back there to tame him, since I hit lv 85 yesterday.
If you remove your gear first it goes faster and no repair bill.

I think this only works for Night Elves, since their Wisp form can still fly even when in the caves. I did it that way on my pet collecting character (who is a Nelf) and it still worked as of yesterday.

I got to Jadefang using an Engineering trick. When you use Nitro Boosts, they have a chance to fail. When they fail, they shoot you up in the air. Using this to my advantage, I stood slightly away from Jadefang's ledge and agro'd a gyroworm, then hd my pet tank him while I hit my nitro boosts. If they worked, no biggie, I just dismissed pet and feigned death, then tried again 3 minutes later. However, when they finally failed, it shot me into the air, I clicked my parachute, then used disengage to shoot myself backwards onto Jadefang's ledge. It took me two hours to finally get it right, but once I was there, Jadefang was mine. On a side note, my nickname with my friends is apparently Wile E Coyote now LOL.

I have tamed Jadefang, and killed her/him twice for the pet (one for me, one for hubby). I got lucky all three times there were people that either did not know how to get up on the ledge or did not want help with it. By that I mean that I offered to help other hunters on my faction to get up there but they either didn't believe me or didn't care enough to deal with it right then. Whatever- their loss. Anyway, the quest and the bomb is absolutely perfect- I have not had any failed attempts at getting up there so just do exactly what they show in that video and you'll be good to go. Good luck!

Heh thats a great idea. It should be easy since I'm a Goblin, and i can just Rocket boost forward instead of trying to do it backwards. I'm engineering too so I'll likely try that method as well once I hit 85 shortly here.

unplug ur internet and fly in. you got about 8 seconds before being disconnected. get as close as you can within that time frame and plug ur internet back in. if done right you will get up to teh ledge before getting knocked off ur mounts. i do not recommend this as you could get DC'd and also might be against the TOS i am unsure. if someone can confirm i will delete this post.

i recommend the engineering method as its how i got up there first. the DC way was a jittery wireless signal on my wife's laptop that i later confirmed.

I used the Nefl buddie trick.

Get a friend who is a Nelf, preferably a hunter, and get them to die near his cave entrance. Fly back in as wisp form and rez up on Jadefangs ledge. Have them pull Jadefang to that ledge and trap them. You should be standing on top of that large green gem below the cave mouth at the farthest back on it as you can. (you are able to jump on it from the other cave mouth via the tunnel behind you) AS SOON as Jadefang is trapped start your tame. Spam tame until it starts to work. If it doesnt work try it again until it does.

Proven by myself and a fellow hunter on my server after 2 try's. Tried having a Nelf DK get up there, dual me and yank me up there with that Mortal Kombat Scorpion "Get Over Here" spell but for some reason we couldn't get each other to accept the duel.

I finally got the daily to get to Jadefang last night, but found him dead as I was trying to figure out how to get up there (that was about 1am). Logged in today and he respawned at about 2pm (after a few hours camping). So I don't think the respawn timer is that bad on him (and I got lucky, everyone who was camping, either left after I showed up, or showed up, then left again, and I tamed him right before someone else logged back in in that spot.) Being Christmas and maybe a good chunk of peeps aren't online might help lower competition right now.

I wonder if New Years eve ever works the same way.. I logged in this morning, didn't see Jadefang, but I saw a Draenei mage afking in the cave. Less than a minute later, he spawned. And the mage got the first shot and killed him for the pet. He apologized via emote, but it still broke my heart. I really love that wee spider model, but I suppose I just have to keep trying.

Got Jadefang tonight, I used the failed Nitro Boosts (engineering) method + the Goblin Rocket Jump. Was pretty easy that way. When I finally got up there (took a few nitro boosts to fail) I just simply logged out. Logged back in a few hours later and he was just in front of me
