'The Lone Hunter' question

You probably all know of 'The Lone Hunter', the ghost wolf with a sword buff...

I tamed it first time on my hunter alt (level 42) and planned to use it as my main pet.

Unfortunately it has no pet abilities at all. Anyone know if it is possible to get The Lone hunter with abilities, because I planned to use it for levelling?

You mean like claw,furious howl and such? Have you checked the spell book? I know it's a stupid question, but it's worth a shot. If not, then I'm not sure why it would not have abilities.

I don't think it was insulting if that was the problem, for sure. I've had more than a few times I turned a pet on someone, wondered 'Why in the world aren't you *doing* anything?', and then realize it's because I forgot to spec them after I tamed them. Repeatedly, I do this.
