More than one rare
Has it been proven that more than one rare can be up in a zone? I'm concerned because tonight my boyfriend and I will be camping Karoma spawn points but then I thought, well what if Sambas comes up? Will karoma be able to have a chance at spawning? And in that same theory, would the last time I saw Sambas be a good time to base the spawn for Karoma on?
Re: More than one rare
As long as I farmed for rares. I believe TLPD, and Vyra are the only linked spawns in the game. So that being said, technically Sambas and Karoma could possibly be up at the same time. It just depends on their last death/tame. From my experience I have always seen a rare pop back up 6-12 hours prior to their last death/tame.
For example: I tamed Ghostcrawler at 3 in the morning. 7 Hours later, My dad shows up and Ghostcrawler is creeping around. 6 Hours after that, I find Ghostcrawler once again.
What really hurts a rare farming is not knowing when they were last spotted. You could show up to a spot not knowing the rare you are out for was killed 37 minutes ago. That 37 minutes is totally gonna put a damp on your farming, because maybe 7 hours after you are sleeping or out of the house. I would have to say most famous rares spend about maybe a max of 20 minutes before someones finds it... So rounding yourself around when they were last seen is your best bet. That way you can set a pace for yourself without burning yourself out.
I have heard a few people say that they tamed Sambas and within 10 minutes Karoma was up. So it just depends on your luck. lol. Also server resets do reflect on your NPC's spawn timer. If that NPC has not spawned and your server is brought down for any reason at all. Chances are it will be reset.. =\

Re: More than one rare
It has been proven that multiple rares can be up in a given zone.
Whether the Cataclysm rares work by those or new rules, time will tell!

lol, atm I am camping for Madexx... I have 5/6 Cata rares. and 2 Ghostcrawler's... But I am sure to get my Madexx. I'm 3 boxing all the spawns.

lol, I found her on my brothers warrior. After I found her an 83 mage face pulled her. Then flew away (more concerned about questing?). After that an 84 warrior found her and sat there staring at her... My hearth was on CD for 40 second and I was in Sholaz waiting for my Dad to get there to tame Loque... I finally hearthed rushed as fast as I could her spot. Dismounted spamming tame in midair. lol.. Was so nervous the whole time.
