I never mess with another hunter if they are starting a tame or are in mid tame. And usually when there is a pet that has multiple spawn points-like Sambas-I'll keep on moving until I find an un-camped spawn point to set up shop. I won't move from there once I get there though.

Had a moment with Sambas where a goblin came up and started camping with me.

I ended up wishing them luck and moving to another spawn point-and yay! Karma! Got my Sambas right there as I was moving to the next spawn point.

Flew back, looked at the goblins name and then switched to my lowbie horde druid. Whispered them the location and time that I had got my Sambas, and wished them luck. They were jealous but thankful for the whisper.

And the next day jumped on their ally toon to tell me that they had gotten them on their goblin hunter and thanks again for the time, as it helped pin down the spawn.

Karma is good-some people are jerks, but you cannot let that ruin you for those who are not. :)

I just gave Karoma away today, and man did it ever feel good when the other hunter landed the tame. I also helped a lowbie hunter get Terrorpene the other day. It makes me feel warm inside to do my part in helping others find their companions - even though there's been times were other hunters tried to (or did) kill my tames from under me.

It's why my Karoma is named "Karma". I got her a few hours after my first Ghostcrawler tame attempt was griefed, and the mob stolen from me by another hunter. Kindness is always rewarded! :)

I love stories like these when I get a rare sought after pet I tend to hearth and go back to a major city to let hunters not to bother to go out cause I just got a tame. I hope that my good deeds will get repayed, *cough* spirit wolf *cough*
Hey if you are wondering about the guild "Petopians" on Anasterian, well it got disbanded but a few of us decided to make a new guild called Protectors of Hyjal. Message anyone in-game to ask for an invite. Hope to see you guys again soon!

@Acherontia: Red was choice #2 or #3. Black was #1.

But all the colors are pretty nicely rendered, and the model is stunning. I still have to do Uldum for the questline, and so I might camp again later for the black one. That won't be for a couple weeks, likely. Since I'm on work vacation, I'm making use of the long time spans for camping TLPD and Aeonaxx (having done rather well with the pets this weekend).

As for advertising, I specifically tend *not* to broadcast on the open channels. As good as this server's been, I don't trust random non-hunters to not grief. After all, all the rares drop *some* form of loot, and so I'd rather just start locating level-appropriate hunters and whispering directly.

hmmm i cant recall ever helping the other faction tame somthing. Never came accros anything like that with a horde player. But I have done stuff like that on ally. The one i remember the best was when i was in diermaul camping the rares. (wanted an orb to give to my friend for his b-day and was too cheap to buy one) when suddenly a lvl 60 hunter plops into the arena ring and sets up camp. i thought of killing her for a moment but i remember trying to tame the razza around her level and getting ganked by my own faction every sngle time. So insted i camped the rare with her and did what i could to keep her alive. didnt work out well and a NE druid kept ganking us, killing the razza, hearthing, then comming back later. -.- but a few levels later she finaly got it and we where both so happy! :D lol

Also i find myself in netherstorm more often then i want to be there and i have good luck with the nuramoc. (wish my luck was this good when i was actualy trying to tame him-.-) i just cant bring myself to kill him. so every time i find him i tell guild/friend/trade and if no one repsonds i go tell the horde. i have made one or two rather happy hunters thus far ^.^ I also have this habbit of camping a cool rare that no one elce has, then showing him off to everyone only to have my heart melted by some hunter wanting to tame the same thing.. so i end up taking them with me and showing them how to get whatever pet they want and sticking with them till they get it. It gives me warm fuzzies when they get thier pet =3

I've had a mixed bag of opposite-faction hunter encounters on my server. There was a pair of much higher-level Trolls who ganked me without hesitation to get Broken Tooth. There was a great Orc hunter who cheered me on as I tried many, many times to kill the Silithus demon (unsuccessfully, that night). There was another Orc hunter who'd seen me farming with Sian-Rotam in Felwood, tamed Sian himself, and killed me as I tried to /congratulate him. There's the occasional fly-by ganking by another hunter. Then there was this amazing Blood Elf mage who made a level 1 alt to ask me why Gezzarak was blue to him (this was before she was fixed) and then spent about an hour chatting and doing the Brunnhildar quests with me.
