Anyone else noticing alot more non hunters camping the rare pet spawn points now? since the pets were posted on MMOchampion with no mention that they drop no loot..

Not fun to see 2 pallies and a warrior chilling at Terrorpene's spawn points. >_<

I just have to say GG MMO! Maybe Boub didn't specify enough HOW THEY ARE NOT FOR ACHIEVES. I mean it's bad enough before this I still saw occasional non hunter campers, but now? Yeah and you know thanks to people offering to buy rares/rarespawns, how much do you want to bet these aren't the people looking out for the hunter community.

I did send Boub a mail asking him to specify that the new hunter pets drop no loot but I havent gotten a response yet. >_< Looks like if I want Terrorpene I will have to be beyond lucky..

In Cataclysm, there are the standard rare spawns like there have always been. They drop blues and some additional gold and there are quite a few in every zone.

MMO Champion says that ^^^

I was under the impression that at least the tameable rare spawns (like Ghostcrawler, Karoma, Terrorpene) do NOT drop blues. Just that Tear of Loyalty. If that is truely the case then MMO Champion is giving other classes false hope about these tameable rares...much to our dismay!

The tamable rares only drop the tear. Thats whats annoying me. MMO didnt make any mention that the hunter rares have no loot. It sounds like they all drop loot. >_<

Yeah they really really need to clear that up!! I wish they hadn't said anything about the Jadefang pet...I'm gonna have a much harder time at taming it!

I thankfully got Jadefang at quest reset time on the first day the bomb quest was available. I want it for the mini pet too..but have yet to see him again.

At first I was gonna say that this was going to happen eventually (be it MMO Champ, the Official Forums, or whatnot), but it is a critical error on Boub's part. Hunting rare pets is about to get really annoying and hard for those who don't have them yet because of that. :\

Yes and especially when you don't clarify that along with NO ACHIEVEMENTS, the TAMABLES DROP NO LOOT.

Infact start a rumor. They drop an item that deducts 25g from your bag and if you don't have 25g on you, you get divided by zero and Deathwing eats you as Saurfang cleaves you and your account explodes.

Yeah, this was a bad move on their part. I asked if anyone had killed Madexx and a druid said oh, she would for the 25g grey. Thanks. x_x Even though I told them there was no achieve and if they wanted 25g, I'd gladly pay more for the tame. I hate having to offer that, I really do. But apparently people think they still drop BoEs. :/

I'll add Madexx to my NPCScan for you, Novi, and keep an eye out when I'm in Uldum. On the topic...yeah. Bad move on MMO-Champion's part, especially if they've been notified that they've published an error and haven't corrected or retracted yet. Let's just hope Blizzard doesn't cave and patch blue drops on to the hunter pets to quiet the masses if people start killing them and QQ that they don't drop BoE's.

You guys need to be more aggressive if there of the same faction bribes usually clear out non hunters and on pvp servers like mine you can take care of opposite faction lurkers yourself.

Yeah, Madexx is a 'check between leveling fishing and queues' type hunt. Nice, but I won't shrivel and die if I don't have him. My stables are filling fast. I'm still glad we got you Sambas before the MMO champ post really got publicity.

Edit: And nah, I know on pvp servers being aggressive invites others to be aggressive too. I find most of the time good manners begets good manners. Besides, if I'm not after a rare I'm always glad to check when I poke into a zone - even if the person is cross faction and I have to either alt hop or yell to call it out.

Just lost Karoma to a priest...when she popped on my npcscan he'd just finished killing her. At least she has a timer, and I went ahead and skinned the corpse as to not give any other hunters a false hope.

Geuss it all depends on how aggresive you play, on Balnazzar pvp is basically kill on sight exept for neutral zones

Well, Jadefang doesn't count; no Tear of Loyalty, and a minipet that everyone will very much want. It's the misinformation and the devastating effect of it that is wrong and should be rectified ASAP. I'm also unhappy with the lack of response from Boub or MMO Champ in general - this should have been corrected by now, and a new post put up pointing out the mistake and apologizing.

EDIT: To clarify, MMO Champ edited the post, separated the tamable rares from the other rares, and removed any mention of blues. What I'm demanding is that a new post be put up that points this out to all their readers so that they will stop camping tamable rares for non-existent blues and achievements!

Agreed. Ugh. I watched various folks circle Terrorpene's spawn spot all day.

Though luckily I got him just a few minutes ago o_o Still in shock... I do not have high hopes for my remaining hunts though... Madexx and Karoma. Sigh. C'mon mmo, you're usually so good... but this?

I initially offered the bounty for Sambas at Twilight Highlands and lots of people going /1 lolol kill for achieve. Had to enlighten them that all you get is a grey and no achieve, no loot, and you lose out on my 1000g bounty (PvP server, Twilight Highlands was so high traffic I didn't think it was possible to get him without offering a sizable enough reward that people would defend him for me if under attack by the opposite faction).

Thankfully it didn't come to that and I managed to get him normally. But so far, Madexx's super size has been attracting way too much attention in Uldum I think and Terropene similarly.
