Hi all, found this while leveling in the worgen starting zone:
These aren't listed on petopia so I thought I would throw them out for speculation. Unfortunately, I loved my black mastiff too much to abandom it to see if it's a color changer when tamed. *Curses lack of stable masters in Gilneas*
Has anyone tried taming these? It may be the only way to get a permament grey mastiff, alibiet an expensive one since it would involve at least one faction change.
Nothing is in the Worgen starting zone after the end of the worgen intro story, as far as I know.
I faction changed my level 80 dranei hunter into a worgen and went there to look around. There are no people and no creatures outside of the foxes/wovles/crocs near the big gate at the entrance in Gilneas.
So I bet that those guys would not be there after you finish the Worgen starting story-thus unless you faction change a level 10 character or start a new hunter just for this guy, I don't know how you would get him.
Hmm....I thought to get past that, you had to drown yourself so the people would appear, but I could be wrong. Going by guild chat for things like that is never accurate.
Ah well, the worgen zone doesn't take that long to do, I'll roll another hunter just to check and keep the thread updated.
Never heard of the drown and people will appear bit.
Bast and I just flew over there to double check and nobody was around.
Which bums me out. I don't want to have to make a worgen toon I'll never play past the starting story just to get the back story. I thought that some of the area quests would still be open when I faction changed.
At least my rep transferred with me. I'm Exalted with Gilneas now (that one used to be Exodar) though I can't tell that being exalted with Gilneas does you any good-as I've never seen a Worgen NPC would would sell things to those who are exalted with the area... *shrug*
Just an update on the mastiff. While they are tamable, they are also color changers, switching between all four colors like the wary mastiffs.
Ah well, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Merlynshade, there's a Gilneas Quartermaster in Darnassus by the new flight master up there, near the portal to Rutheran Village, if you didn't know - though I don't think there's really anything useful for a higher level character. But you never know >.<

I mean, I KNOW that the Dranei think of themselves as being.. well, different from the rest of the Alliance, but... a whole faction unto themselves?
(think you meant "Race changed"... hehehe, but still, kind of funny)
A bit of palindromic wisdom: "Step on no pets!" Casual player.. don't raid, don't PvP. Suffer from extreme altitis I love pets - combat or non. <That Kind of Orc> guild on The Scryers, small, casual LGBT and friends guild, join us Horde-side.

Better then nothing though! I'll go take a look, I'm always collecting Tabards.

*hits you with a bag of mallows for pointing that out.
