We always talk pets when we are on, and I knew he was camping Maddex but had not yet seen him. I kept saying, "I don't want him, maybe...." I fly through there sometimes, mining, and keep an eye out, but not that big on the scorpid.
I wake up this morning and can't go back to sleep, so decide to cruise through the Basin after my last lust: the King. He is not up, so pop to Org and through portal to Uldum to get some ore, and maybe an elementium pet for my priest partner.
Been there a few minutes, getting ore, when bam! out come the drums and NPCscan sees Maddex.
I fly down, and think, dang you are ugly, in a cute kinda way. I look at friend's list--no fellow hunters on. I tame him. He is brown, the ONLY color of his I DID NOT want if I ever tamed him. So, I pop to the basin again, wishing friend had been on....when....
He logs on. Not two minutes after my tame. I "woman up" and tell him. He takes it well, since it was the ugly brown one after all :} I make a round through the basin, and no green dino, no bird, no loque. Nada.
Then, on my second round just before I give up, I spot loque patting around on the ground up near the last set of gorillas. I type "Loque is up!" and friend says eek he just went through portal to Highlands, but is ON HIS WAY. I track him as he comes to me, while tracking Loque, who is gorgeous in the wild, and then my goblin friend drops from the skies and tames his Loque.
Does anybody actually like this silly brown color on Maddex? Sigh. For now, he can stay in the stable until I spot another of his better colored sister scorpids--blue blue blue. Anything but brown! So, Good karma for us both today. Two rares in under 30 minutes!
And I did kinda find a dress that matches the brown scorpid. Sorta.
